I called my local branch as I have a question specific to the branch. I had to listen to various prompts about online banking, enter my account number and then when I asked to be put through to an actual person I got the spiel about online banking again! I then got cut off! Why can't I speak to an actual person?!

Great customer service, especially from Ms. Carissa who's been helping and guiding me since i opened my account with RBC. She's knowledgeable of the product and sevices the bank offers and she knows how to understand and cater her customer's needs.

The lady name Tammy who served me at the RBC Bank at Okotoks Elizabeth street Branch was exceptional. So friendly, very Customer oriented. I visited to the RBC to inquire about my visa balance and recommended option to lower my monthly expenses etc. As I lost my job and I was quite down and upset in m mind. Ms. Tammy explained all the options available. She was very professional, knowledgeable and informative . I find that, than all the banking institutions I have ever been, this particular branch has a very asset, and that's Ms. Tammy. Thank you once again for your great exceptional kind Customer service. You really helped me quite well. Made my day actually. You're a great example to customer service and to the banking sector as well. Thank you and appreciate for your concern plus time offered towards me.

I have spent up to an hour in this bank getting the simplest of transactions completed. One teller in particular took an hour to print a draft and take the money from my account. Three tries later and she still managed to muck things up. The teller's are not well trained and they are unable to answer simple questions. Every trip into this branch is a miserable experience.

Poor service. I just ask about a payment system for my work, but the teller was like she was at national security, cause I don’t have an account. She looked like she doesn’t help anything and not respectful.

Remarkable ironies abound. Potential customers beware. Entering the store, you are met with an opulent, reflective, ceramic and marble smattering on the floor and walls that all scream POSH and post-modern. Even some columns in places they don't need to be contribute to this illusion you are in a billion dollar skyrise on the 25th floor. The next thing you will experience is a waft of thrift store smell, a hint of mildew that competes with the first impression you get when you enter. It isn't until you approach the walls, floor corners, furniture and even the ceiling that it becomes clear you are actually IN a thrift shop shaped like a bank. How confusing. .. The accumulated grime in the grout of the expensive tiles, the visible layer of dust a quarter inch high on any shelf above 6 feet (I'm tall) and the challenging attitudes and lack of charisma from the tellers is truly telling of a great organization imbalance at that location. I used to be a customer at this bank and unfortunately had a rather negative experience. My mother was applying for a small loan but given her income and credit history she was easily and by far in the clear. The lady who helped us, Pat, (only revealing the first part of her name) promised us, during our appointment, that she wouldn't be hitting my mother's credit score before handling and approving the loan. She informed us that something akin to a soft-check would take place and it would not affect my mother's credit score. My mother is legally blind, informed Pat and then she (pat) flashed me some documents as witness. Through sweet, charismatic and well practiced in deception, Pat went right ahead and did a hard credit score check which cost my mother about 10 points! We was rather livid quite frankly that this dishonest person would take advantage of my mother who, after all, is legally blind. Were it up to me, this would be grounds for immediate dismissal and a write up, challenging her to try harder and with more honesty, should she find work at another financial institution in the future. I've yet to meet a person that wears an offensive amount of perfume that gives you an insta-headache and as the product warms up and breaks down during the day and starts to mix with the sweat and bacteria of the perfume wearer. When we entered that appointment in a sealed room, heck, just following her down the hallway was like walking through a chemical trail of roses and body odor. Side note, none of this is entirely relevant. A person's actions are what truly matter and the equivocation and obfuscation Pat used to boost her numbers as quickly as possible left my mother with a damaged credit score. I realize my experience is subjective and emotional, but the damage was real. When my disabled mother loses 10 points on her credit score due to deception is a rather serious offense. I'm not claiming pat took advantage of her disability. I'm only saying she's ethically questionable and maybe even much worse at her job than she lets on.

The drive thru atm is a rim scraping maze for your vehicle. Unless perfectly executed with a large vehicle, expect rims to bear the scar of the inside curb after you with draw your fiat currency.
