About Rath Law Office
Born and raised in Medicine Hat, Raymond Rath is a trusted local family man. His understanding and involvement in the community has enabled him to represent its residents and their interests.
After graduating from the University of Alberta in May 1995, Raymond returned home to article in Medicine Hat. He has been practicing law since the completion of his articling year in 1996, which has provided him with in-depth knowledge and experience in the field. While his focus is on family law, Raymond also practices in areas of civil litigation, real estate, corporate law, life planning (wills, personal directives, and powers of attorney), and estate administration.
Raymond works with his clients to identify what is important to them, in each of their distinct situations and circumstances. He provides direct, comprehensive legal advice, and strongly advocates for his clients’ interests. Raymond has extensive experience in the Courtroom, and has argued at all levels of Court in Alberta, including the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Court of Appeal. He is well known in the community for his dedication and passion towards his career.
Outside of his work, Raymond enjoys golfing, camping, and spending time with his children and their activities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not use rath law for a notary!! I had used another lawyer buying a home in nova scotia while signing all the documents in alberta 85 dollars. Rath law wanted 500+. They also made it seem like printing was a gigantic undertaking, that would up my costs significantly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to Rath Law because I was starting up a business and needed to ask some questions. Jenna was SO helpful and so understanding. Being a young woman in business there are a lot of people who don't take me seriously or listen to my concerns, but Jenna didn't do that at all. From the very start through email, phone calls and meetings in person, Jenna was understanding and listened to every single concern. Never once while dealing with her have I felt uncomfortable and I am so grateful to her.
My only issue was finding the office because they don't have an actual sign for Rath Law that is visible from the street. I ended up having to call for the address and having to clarify that it was located inside the Courtyard Law Centre on the corner of 1 St SE and 5 Ave SE. Once you figure that out, you're golden!
