We are all experiencing very unusual, fearful and challenging times. It seems that every day, news of the Coronavirus becomes more concerning and real. Some of you may already have been affected, directly or indirectly. I sincerely hope not. In most cases, Raj Palace Restaurant has been your neighbor for many, many years, and you’ve come to trust us. We hold that trust sacred. It is always our top priority to provide the best possible service in our restaurants, as well to ensure the health and safety of our guests, employees and our community. That’s why I’m writing you today. I want you to know there is literally nothing more important to us at Raj Palace Restaurant than keeping you safe. We pride ourselves on serving delicious food in a sanitary, safe environment, always. Recently, we doubled-down on our efforts to help protect us all.
What we’re doing:
➜ Stepping up our hand-washing protocol at all times
➜ Increasing the frequency of sanitizing our public areas, including door handles, counter tops, tabletops, restrooms and register areas
➜ Paying extraordinarily high attention to all food safety standards
➜ Communicating enhanced sanitation protocols to our employees
➜ Making real-time adjustments regarding the safest and best way to conduct business to ensure the safety of our dining guests and our employees
What we encourage guests to do:
➜ Wash your hands frequently and use a paper towel to dry
➜ Avoid touching eyes, nose and mout
➜ Avoid close contact with people who are sick
➜ Stay home when you are sick
➜ Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze with a tissue, and then dispose of the tissue

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited here with 5 of my friends. services was very good. Food tasted delicious. The girl who was serving us was well trained and presented this place so well. I loved the hospitality. I would recommend this place for dine ins and takeouts

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Waited over an hour for food, water was warm, bathroom was not well cleaned, order was incorrect (which meant everything tasted like cilantro which is my least favourite thing) no one ever checked in on us. Felt unwelcome. Food was fine so gets 2 stars. Super unhappy. Wont be back. Lots of other great places in the area to eat at instead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve always thought that Raj Palace’s service was great but the last time I went was exceptional. Don’t know the server’s name (March 26 at night) but he took great care of us and was very courteous. The food was decent and I got what I was looking for. My only spot for concern was the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. The walls have stains on them and so does a large flat screen TV that is turned off. The cutlery is also aged well past what it should be at an establishment that does the kind of business that this restaurant does. It would be good to improve in those areas to stay competitive and attract more people in. Overall, still a great spot for South Indian cuisine in Calgary.

Masala Uthappam is really good as well as other Dosa like Mysore Masala and Kal Dosai. Very good tasty Sambar and the best Coconut ? Chutney ever tasted in restaurant. Recommend place definitely..

My experience at this restaurant is usually ok, but there was way too much oil in the butter chicken we couldn’t even eat the sauce (please know this was after stirring to see if it needed to just be stirred but unfortunately no). I bought this for children and specifically asked for mild and they made it spicy. We couldn’t eat it anyways because of the amount of oil they put in our dish. The vegetable biryani had a perfume-y taste as well which was very off putting. Please work on your consistency.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The customer service at this restaurant is above and beyond!! My husband and I were very very satisfied with the staff here. We went on March 25 evening and the nice man and lady were both so kind and accommodating to our needs and always checking up on us. They explained what the food were perfectly whenever we asked what they were. They gave recommendations that ended up tasting so delicious. We have never received such absolute best customer service. The biryani I got was a bit too spicy for me and they gave me a sauce to neutralize it without me even asking and I thought that was so thoughtful of them. On to the actual order: I tasted the BEST butter chicken ever. I absolutely LOVE LOVE the Rasmali dessert. It was so delicious I have never tasted anything so good! My husband really loved their coffee as well and I had a sip and it was very tasty. The Gulab Jamun satisfied my sweet cravings and it was so good. My overall experience here was amazing. They are worth the visit and I will always come here for Indian food! They are officially my favourite go to for Indian food!! Try it out and you will not be disappointed! Highly recommend this restaurant and the staff is above and beyond!!!!!
