Radius Retreat

I went with my friends in 2021 and I loved it so much I went again in 2022. I went to the Hallow and the Perch. I highly recommend both yurts. If you’re up for a ~70 min hike but crave for stunning view, the Perch is what you would like. Amazing view and high up in the mountain. The Hallow would be a great fit for anyone, short hikes but still got the Mountain view. Both yurts were extremely well maintained, firewood’s are well prepared so that you can stay cozy and warm. The mattresses are hotel level softness. I would definitely book again!

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Roost. The yurt was super clean and totally cozy with a really nice view. Even the outhouse was really nice! We appreciated all the little details and enjoyed warm nights thanks to the fireplace. We wish we spent every minute there (unfortunately, we had also other plans). My partner and I stayed here in November/Dec of 2021. This place is beautiful!! We stayed in The Perch, a more remote yurt further up the mountain. It was quiet, clean and had basically everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay and talk frequently about going back (we're from Toronto) to Alberta just to stay here. It's gorgeous, full of wildlife and deeply peaceful. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

Amazing stay at The Den! The yurt was super clean, well-maintained and very roomy for five of us. The cooking/fire area was also well set up. We walked around the trails a bit as well and it was great. Highly recommend! We will be back again soon for sure.

I'm already planning when I can go again! This place was amazing, and PERFECT for shoulder camping season! Yurts are easily accessible and the location is perfect! My partner and I are very familiar with back and front country camping, so this was a nice mix of both with some swagger (real beds! No setting up a tent in the rain! Warm fire all night!). My advise to those who may be a little less savy when it comes to backpack camping is to try and pack only the essentials, and keep your food choices simple (instant oatmeal is a lot lighter than a 12 pack of eggs and bacon). Hope to make staying here a (at least) yearly tradition :).

Really nice location, we went for my bachelorette and had a great time. The entire facility is really well maintained. The trails are excellent. The watering hole feature is really cool, very relaxing. Yurt was great, we stayed in "The Den". Wood was all very dry, I'm not sure if a hatchet is on the packing list but definitely bring one because you'll need to make your own splits. Overall, really enjoyed our experience! My only wish was to have some info on the therapy hike, we did it, but I think there is supposed to be a story that goes along with it, without the story, it felt a bit creepy.

I have lived in the mountains for almost 5 years and have done a lot of exploring! This is definitely something I have been missing out on!! We went this past weekend and were amazed with the beautiful winter views. I had a friend visiting from Ontario and wanted to give her an adventure, but something accessible and not to back country. This was the perfect balance! We did book the highest yurt so we were able to get some heart rates rising but nothing unmanageable. The lower yurts are mush easier if thats what you need. I highly recommend this winter wonderland getaway! Very quiet and peaceful. The perfect setting! We appreciated the quality of amenities, the cleanliness and the design of the yurts. The staff were also super accommodating at answers our questions. I will be back next winter for sure!!

We stayed at The Burrow yurt and it was lovely! It looked exactly like the pictures/videos on their website and it was incredibly user friendly to book our stay! In fact it was because of the videos on the website touring the yurts that made us want to look more into it as it really piqued our interest. It was a lovely experience because we had our bbq and fire pit at the back of the yurt so despite being able to see the Hollow from the front, it still felt like a private camp ground. Definitely bring some power banks to keep your phones charged! It's right off of the roundabout heading north towards Golden so its nice having your phone to navigate and enjoy Radium and the surrounding areas. I would recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat! It's fantastic for people interested in enjoying the great outdoors but still wanting to be close to a city with wonderful places to eat, and a very comfy mattress to sleep on! They created such a well written handbook that explains everything you need to know about Radius retreat and has some excellent activity and food recommendations. So you know you're in good hands with them! The only things that I would nit pick about our stay is to be alert and pay attention to where the road turn off is to access the gates as it's only 2 km north of the roundabout and its easy to miss the first time as the Radius retreat sign is a little tucked in so it could be easily missed while looking at the GPS. The last thing that's specific to our yurt (hollow/burrow) location is that both bear boxes and bear hangs are located in the same spot without a label. So it could be troublesome for guests to figure out which ones belong to which yurt. And therefore difficult for staff to charge a disposal fee to the correct guest if they happen to forget anything in the bear box.
