L	Lorraine Rawlins on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am going to leave a good rating, because our Rooms 228 and 230 were excellent. They were clean, comfortable and located in a very quiet area of the hotel. At $119/night I felt it was worth the stay. That said, the outside premises need some TLC in terms of landscaping as the weeds and grass are overgrown. This may be as a result of not being able to keep staff. Checking in was not at all simple as the person at the front desk did not speak English. I mean truly COULD NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. Perfect French though. You would think that, given this property is in Ontario, you'd have someone at the front desk who could speak English. She could not communicate to us the location of our room (we figured it out obviously), didn't tell us about breakfast in the morning, the pool nor was unable to figure out how we could pay for our room plus another room that we had booked for the following night. We wanted to combine our bill. But she was incredibly sweet and tried so hard so we just gave up. We will be back!
A	Anonymous on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There needs to be maintenance and real cleaning if you intend to rent these rooms. Heating of water needs to be adjusted for the winter weather outside it seems. At different times the water taking a shower was not even warm.

I am here on business and am here for at least 1 month, so far I've been here for three weeks. Nobody even checked to see if I need a courtesy clean of my room, sheets changed etc. I realize that they only do "check out rooms" as per COVID restrictions, but I am here for extended stay and require at least a bed change and restock of towels etc.. My biggest concern is that there is no hot water for the shower (warm at best) . When I spoke to the front end staff, I was told to run it longer-I had already ran it for 15 min. second attempt, I ran it for 45 min, still only WARM. "They say its always like that in winter" WELL I'D LIKE A HOT SHOWER!! In my opinion, you should not be shivering in the shower. I even asked them to turn up the hot water tank and the staff that was on duty either ignored my request or did not understand. very frustrating. Stained carpets, corner cob webs, musty smell. I had to buy myself a HEPA filter for the room. The only reason I did not score it a 1 is because at lease there were no bugs!

The first time we stayed here we found a cockroach in the room and requested to switch rooms to the other side of the hotel. (Room wasn't discounted either by the way). We decided though to give it another shot since it was in a convenient location half-way to our destination. When we arrived, the heater/ac unit was on and set to the ac setting in winter (I suspect that the person who set it simply made a mistake... not a big deal, although at 1am after a long drive having the room an icebox was a little inconvenient). What was alarming though was that there bare wires on the wall due to a disconnected thermostat, and exposed wires on the heater unit as well. In addition to this, the furniture was old and worn with tears in the upholstery. Also, the bathroom was comically small, with the door swinging open to within an inch of the toilet bowl, and equipped with two of the smallest and roughest bath towels I've seen. Lastly, the "breakfast" in the morning was the worst. Scrambled eggs were hardly a degree above room temperature, and the sausages had an odor reminiscent of the snacks I feed to my dog. I realize that this review makes me sound like a nit-picky Karen... I assure you I do not take to leaving poor reviews easily or lightly, and most of the time I'm pretty easy-going. This being the second visit though that failed to meet even basic expectations, a poor review it is! You can do better than to waste your cash at this hotel.
G	Gary Mayer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Quality Inns & Suites location is FAR below the level I have experienced at any other location visited in my many years of business travel. This place is definitely not worth $131 CAD a night when it is this horrid. There are pics of dirt on the floor, the business/office chair is broken on the right side and worn thread bare on the seat. It took more than 2.5 hrs to get a chair that I could actually sit on. The replacement chair is also threadbare, worn and smells of cigarette smoke. Staying here was a mistake. Next time in Hawkesbury I will NOT stay here again. Where is the oversight of the corporate chain? I strongly suggest that nobody else does as well.!! NOTE: I actually just read the reviews and a lot of negative reviews and they worsen as time progresses. The Manager frequently say "You should have called for "clean: whatever!!! It should be his job to ensure the rooms, towels, linens and amenities are clean, properly maintained and agreeable to US the customers.
