★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I purchased a box of hedgehogs and asked for mint flavour chocolate sample if any and the guy, who looked like Indian, blatantly refused telling me it's $1 , we can't just give away. I have purchased chocolate from purdys before as well and the girl working there never refused to try a sample before buying.
This is so rude, you need some serious customer service skills boy!!
I'm not coming to this location ever for chocolates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best chocolate ever in my opinion. It’s all natural ingredients with no artificial flavour or colouring. Hand made chocolates from Vancouver, BC.
My favourites are the caramels, soft chewy gooey and delicious.
Their chocolate cover ginger is delicious another favourite but it’s an acquired taste.
Other very popular items are the hedgehogs, sweet Georgia browns, English toffee and their no sugar added line.
A must try!

It's like we drive all the way to this place and find out they don't have the flavor, other wise 5 star review was a must in Givens 4 stars only because of that

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow! Welcome to the melenial customer service experience! This was the worst in store customer service experience ever! I just purchased over $70.00 worth of Chocolate. I asked for a small box (4 piece) empty! I even was going to pay for it! No she couldn’t do it no code for that transaction! What? Are you kidding me? Oh she left mid service to give some family free samples from the ice cream bar by the way!
So you mean to tell me after I spent $70.00 on chocolate and volunteered to pay for the box you can’t give me box because of a code? So all the free samples of ice cream are coded too?
Talked to the manager over the phone! Really Felicia... Her excuse was lame! She can’t control what people put in the box etc. Reality check you never could!
Anyway I bought an overpriced box for $8.00 plus. Emptied the contents on the counter and left with the box and $+78.00 worth of chocolate and pretty boxes!
Was that worth a negative review! Whatever happened to customer service? This Canadian chain may not have long in the market place. Let’s see what Amazon Prime has to offer.
The fascist have taken over the cocoa plantations again!
I can’t even honestly review the chocolate for quality and value now after that B.S. customer service taste left in my mouth!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure why there are negative reviews.....it's a chocolate shop people!! Happy place! Any rudeness is probably from YOUR attitude. I visit this location all the time (now that lockdown is over...i can go visit yay!!
I have never received anything but exceptional service here. Friendly and super nice. Great suggestions if you are stuck on deciding what to get for a gift. When my sister visits from Newfoundland ( I think the only reason she visits me is Purdys!! So Purdys no matter how much she begs, please don't open one in St John's or she will never visit me again), she's barely off the plane and we are there to get some treats. And inevitably back before she returns to stock her up again. It's so bad that the manager knows her by name and when I pass by asks about her!( her name escapes me now but it started with an M and was really pretty).
Chocolate is superb. The vegan chocolate is really good as well. Their signature hedgehog is to DIE for.
