β β β β β This is my first time at this place and it had excellent reviews about the atmosphere so I wanted to try it out. 5/5 for the the products. I enjoyed an oat milk latte and two waffles: pistachio spice and apple cinnamon (more on the denser side of pastry). At my attempt to be courteous to the business, I wanted to clean up after myself. I asked an associate where I can put my plates. She pointed at a counter top but I wasn't sure which one and found myself struggling to place the dirty dishes somewhere. Another associate behind the counter was witnessing my dilemma and I don't know if I caught her on a bad day or I annoyed her just enough with my inability to make a decision that she said "Just put it down" in a way that was not welcoming and with minimal eye contact. It felt very dismissive.
She seems to be a brilliant barista and maybe it was just bad timing for the whole situation.
This review isn't to punish but just a soft reminder. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't as homey as others so I cannot recommend dining in. The seating are minimal (the patrons were all very respectful of COVID protocols) and they offer wooden benches which are great if you need to get work done.

β β β β β This is a great place to have a real tasty coffee!! They are roasting a small batch of their own inside cafe. so it is hard to decide which coffee I want, because they have a great selection of coffee.
I had a tasty fruit raspberry waffle as the staff recommendation, it was so good that I want to try other waffles next time I visit!!

β β β β β Amazing selection of coffee. They clearly care about the bean and have methods from producers Iβve never seen anywhere else. Really lovely selection. They also make a good brew too (as youβd assume). And this is the first time Iβve ever seen anything like this too: a blue London fog. It was so beautifully blue I donβt even want to know how it happens. (Unfortunately my loot didnβt look like Iβd eaten a package of blue Jolly Ranchers afterwards but I guess that could be seen as a good thing too!) Anyway: Amazing coffee shop.

β β β β β This is my favourite coffee shop in town. The espresso is so balanced. I would describe it as a very sophisticated flavour, you can clearly distinguish several layers of taste. Itβs not overpowering like some other espressos, and thereβs a depth to the taste. My go-to is the cortado.

β β β β β We found this Cafe in the East Hastings area. It's not easily noticeable because the entrance is hidden behind a corner wall, and looks very dark from the outside, but inside, it was full of surprises. The moss decor was nice and there were lots of seats. At the very end, there was a coffee tasting counter with a variety of beans to choose from. The staff all looked very professional. Unfortunately, there were only waffles, and no other pastries. I had the espresso, which was too acidic for me, but the flat white my friend ordered was very beautifully made, and tasty too. If you are looking for a place to explore and learn about coffee, this is the place to go!

β β β β β Absolutely delicious! They have a lot of different types of beans and waffles made fresh in-store. They keep their filters clean and steep at the right temperature so you experience their coffee at its best. A fair price for the great quality!
The cherry on top is their amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. What a delight to visit!

β β β β β There's this feeling when you walk into a coffee shop for the first time, and you instantly think, "your incoming cup of coffee is in good hands." I got that feeling at Prototype. They provide the most extensive coffee lineup in the city (a great wide selection of beans for your pour-over choice); they also did right with the simple-designed place. It just takes you back to the essential thing: The coffee drinking experience. I went with Panama Esmeralda Gesha & tried their cinnamon sugar waffle. Oh, I also bought Flat White with oat milk. Best decisions of the day.

β β β β β We went here for the first time craving for a coffee break in the afternoon midst chores and a long day!
I've heard such amazing things about this place and decided to check them out on DoorDash! I ordered online and picked it up.
Let me tell you, this place is such a vibe! It's very modern and contemporary. The place along with its aesthetic was stunning!
The service we received by the two people behind the counter were so kind and easy to speak to!!
We WILL BE BACK!!
If I was looking to cut cold turkey on my coffee again, I'd go for their almond blue London fog and call me happy! Thank you guys for having us!!!
