PROMISED LAND ANIMAL SANCTUARY

I have visited promised Land several times & honestly I can’t say enough about how amazing Kat is!!! She has dedicated her life to saving animals and has given them the most amazing home on her property. I have been a couple of times with my kids because they love to walk the horses through the trail and have access to all the other animals. We have also spent the night there in her century old home and participated in her yoga class the following morning. I highly recommend promised land as a getaway experience for a few hours or an overnight stay!!!!

Most incredible place for anyone to give back the respect that animals and nature deserve. The space that Kate has created for the amazing animals that have found their forever home and love here can't be described by words, it can only be shared as a feeling and emotion. Must visit and SUPPORT!

Vet and staff were super friendly sassy wasn't scared and was such a good girl. They took great care of us and we were so lucky they could squeeze our girl in to get the care she needed. She even got a treat bag when we left because it was the resident cats birthday.

DID THE TOUR If you are looking for a wonderful country experience with scenery, nature, interaction with farm life while all supporting the rescue of animals, this is your place! I did the tour. But Kat (the owner and operator) also does Air BNB stays. Equipped with a hot tub inside your living space, surrounded by tall open windows, you get a private, 360 degree view of the beautiful farmland, rolling hills and sky! You also get the company of the cutest cats ever! They will for sure give you good feels. The tour was a dream like experience. When I arrived with my group, I was met with warm herbal tea, fresh pie and ice cream accented with beautiful autumn kitchen wear on a big thick wooden rustic table. In fact, the entire place was almost all rustic wood. This gave the space that cabin like feel but in a big beautiful house. The tour offered us the opportunity to interact with the farm animals that are all rescues, each with a different story to be told. Ducks, pigs, horses, goats hens and one vocal rooster, you will see all this and more! There was beautiful trails running around the property, with ponds and even more wildlife around every corner. As someone who works with animals myself, I could see that Kat has the trust of every animal there. She is kind and gentle to the animals. She knows each one and their needs. If you are looking for a country experience AIR BNB stay, this is the place I would recommend. If you are looking to pop by and check out what this place has to offer, book a tour. Kat also takes in volunteers to help out with the farm. If I still lived in the area I would very much love to do this! Helping out animals is my thing. All and all, an excellent experience. Good feels, warm vibes all in a little slice of country heaven.

A truly unique experience for anyone who wants to reconnect with nature, experience farm-life, self heal, get out of the city or just try something new! The sanctuary is set in the rolling hills of rural Campbellford. The house was built in 1860 and is a proper example of a modernized heritage estate. The massive solarium with floor to ceiling windows allows for all day sun exposure and spectacular views of the area - and it has hammocks! The kitchen is large, airy, and full of history. You'll also find a cozy library, yoga studio, outdoor pool, and many more treasures to enjoy around this unique house. This all comes without compromise of modern comforts too. Kat has rescued 70+ animals who share this special land with us. Dogs, cats, sheeps, goats, horses, ducks - the list goes on. Each of them have a unique personality and together they form an accepting community of love and appreciation for one another. By doing your part around the farm, you get to interact with these wonderful animals and experience their healing qualities. Animals will teach you lots about yourself if you let them! The land itself feels very sacred and has a special glow even on days when the weather doesn't cooperate. Watch the sun rise and set over the hills. Skate on the pond. Hike through the forest. Or go into town to experience the charming qualities of the small town. Kat and her animals are kind souls with warm hearts which welcome you into their family and make you feel special. It's a different life than you're used to but if you go in with an open mind and the willingness to try something new, you may just find things about yourself that you didn't think existed. 10 out of 10 for Promised Land Animal Sanctuary!

Excellent educational experience great for the entire family! Rustic, beautiful and charming a wonderful opportunity to get to know animals. Bed Yoga Breakfast is a part of the whole experience stay a few days very comfortable and great plant based food. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about animals and kind.
