hard to hear a sad story and do nothing about it. Pet Save quickly grew to over 200 volunteers and today Pet Save is still 100% volunteer and proud of our “NO KILL” policy. We have saved over 10,000 cats, dogs, bunnies and even a few pot-belly pigs along the way.

We continue to grow each year and hope one day there will no longer be a need for rescue groups like us. Until that time, we remain committed to helping the homeless animals and educating people on proper animal care so we may reshape the next generation of pet owners.

At Pet Save, we believe every person has something to offer a homeless or orphaned animal and one person at a time, we can make a difference!

S	Stefan Kus on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was on FB and seen a dog I was really interested in. I called about 5 times that day during business hrs and no answer. So I went on the post and sent a message. Showing my interest in this dog. I have had no response . Tried to get through on the phone again a couple of days later and still no answer. Do they even adopt these pets? Seems like the other reviews on Pet Save is spot on. No communication and hard to adopt from. What a shame. I will forget about this place and adopt from an organization that values people's interest in adopting.

The people involved with pet save always ensure that all houses that the rescues are going to are suitable fits for the animals. Keep up the excellent work finding forever homes!

Follow her instructions and rules and you should not have a problem adopting a cat or dog.
N	Neb Ahrens on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While I appreciate the discernment and high standards of this shelter, I found the staff I dealt with to be seriously lacking in soft skills and quite off-putting. I had brought the cat to the shelter in a Rubbermaid bin with air holes, and when in the car I had not had the lid firmly attached to allow additional ventilation. The woman who came out to receive the cat immediately told me in a very condescending tone, that the cat could not breath and was going to suffocate. She had no interest in hearing that there were holes drilled into the container to allow ventilation and she marched off before I could tell her I had left the lid only loosely placed on top. I was quite offended to be so summarily judged and dismissed where this woman was ignorant of the facts in this case. I'll never take a stray to this particular shelter again because I did not feel good at all leaving the sweet, friendly cat I had been caring for over the past 5 days while trying to find his owner, in the care of someone so incapable of common courtesy when dealing with the public and who had such horrible energy. The animals do not deserve to be exposed to this, for any length of time.

Ive had my furry purry friend since 2017 & I'm looking for a playful kitty. When I told her I could not find a vet in Sudbury as I've called around all in GSA she sounded like she was in disbelief because she asked me when I tried. Jill declined my application for adoption because I didn't provide regular vet care to my past cats & present feline friend.. As she proceeded to explain her decision i told her that it's ok not necessary. She continued to explain, more like a lecture, her perspective/experience on regular vet care. I then politely told her I did not need to hear her go on. What I really wanted to tell her is that it sounds as if you like the sound of your voice & power tripping. Your loss Jill because the kitten would have had a great home.

They ask about their health and how could they prove they are healthy I am absolutely outraged as they keep posting pictures of dogs who need forever homes. My parents have had dogs their whole life. Change the way you interview because you are missing out on some amazing homes for thèse pups. So disappointment in the process. It would be easier for me to adopt and just give them the dog. Not right.
S	Samantha Pennington on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All my boyfriend and I wanted was to give one of their cats a good home, instead we were treated terribly, the interviewer Jill was nothing but rude, I was told my relationship wasn't long enough or strong enough, and my boyfriends current job situation wasn't long enough for her. He was laid off for Covid, not because he didn't want to work. So on those notes we weren't good enough to have the cat. We still fought, we cared for this cat, only to have her ignore us for a week and one of the other employees to inform us she had adopted her out to someone else. Pet Save is a horrible place to try and adopt from, I recommend not even trying.

Their adoption fees are incredibly reasonable and my female's spays were completed as scheduled by a local veterinarian. They have knowledgeable volunteers/staff and were supportive throughout the adoption process.
