My husband and I were visiting Quebec. We were craving for Portuguese food and we found that place. We saw the restaurant's pictures and comments and we decided to give it a try. BIG REGRET! The chicken was just ok. No taste really, barely any sauce on the chicken. It was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't AT ALL. The fries are BAD! OVERCOOKED and burnt!!!!!! The salad...not really good. We ask the cooker to have extra spicy sauce (because the chicken was kinda dry) he didn't want to give un and wanted to charge us $0.95 for it. Like really! And they were cheap with the ketchup. You had to always get up and ask for it. They put it in tiny cups for you. Ridiculous! I don't understand how this restaurant is 4.3 stars. It is not that good. It is just decent and trust me I been to several Portuguese restaurant. What a waste a of tummy space for mediocre food.?

Take out or order and eat at your table. Chicken is delicious and when you order a meal, you get lots of rice or potatoes and salad. It costs more to order a whole chicken to share.

If I was Portuguese I would sue this place! Relied on all those reviews saying "excellent paella", "great chicken" and went to this place! I think either those reviews were paid for or those people never had a real paella or Portuguese chicken ? It was one of the worst eating out experiences for me and my partner! I lived in Spain and I know how a real paella is like! It was super tasteless and sloppy! The chicken that was sitting on it seemed so dried and a couple of days old I didn't dare to eat it! "Portuguese chicken" has nothing Portuguese. I am not sure if it was even grilled! The portion was so small and we had to pay for it 50$ and left the restaurant with a strong lasting taste of canola oil in our mouths! Well people were nice but we didn't visit a social club but a restaurant! Sincere friendly advice: eat a sandwich, keep your money you would be happier at the end!

We showed up close to closing after being turned away by the restaurant we had wanted. This is a really nice family-owned place and they were very accommodating despite the time. The kid who helped us order was incredibly patient and polite with us. The food wasn't like some of the gourmet places around the city but the ribs were solid, the poutine was great (a hint of maple in it?), and I thought the chicken was a big standout, just delicious.

Simple self service restaurant. Chicken came out quickly and was excellent. Good price. Place was clean, booths were comfortable. It's BYO which is great, makes eating out much cheaper to bring your own wine/beer.

Fantastic Portuguese chicken spot in Quebec. I believe it is family owned and definitely a popular spot. We went in looking to do take out for dinner. Unfortunately, they sold out of almost everything except the breast. We still went with it anyway and were not disappointed. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly and remained juicy despite the time it took to walk back to the hotel. Flavor was top notch, I got spicy and wifey got regular. We both quite liked our choices. Portion size was truly generous. Would definitely return again.
