Polite Paws

Very happy we took our two Chihauhas Bella and Roelly to Laura and Ellie!! They did wonders with our two little sibling terrors. In the short time they had them a few weeks ago, they have learned to listen, come on command, heal on and off leash, to sit, down and stay. They also are less yappy with strangers which is a tough thing for these little guys. Would definitely like to take them to Polite Paws again for more training for the dogs and us.

Laura. Was very patient with our big puppy Scout. The 2 week e collar training was a great investment. We can’t believe how much Scout learned in 2 weeks with Laura. I would high recommend Laura and polite paws. Very reasonable priced worth every penny.

Laura is amazing! It was the best investment we made in our puppy Charlie. Not only is Charlie well trained now, we have had NO issues with him since his training 7 months ago. I highly recommend Polite Paws.

Laura and her team are incredible. We did basic training with our dog; excellent results while having a lot of fun. Laura is professional, thorough, and she cares for your dog like one of her own. Highly recommend.

We can not say enough good things about the crew at Polite Paws. Our young, but very large girl (Biggie) was a very ENERGETIC pup, making it difficult to take her many places. The 2 week e-collar course worked wonders. We as a family could not be happier with our pup. It has been an amazing transformation as we now feel comfortable and proud to take her out in public. I am so thankful for Laura and the team at polite paws, they have given me back a dog who is confident and happy. I never would have been able to achieve this for my dog on my own, after the last couple years trying my best, they were able to help in such a short period of time. I highly recommend Polite Paws and would give more than 5 stars if I could! The trainers are highly skilled, compassionate, and use very effective training methods with excellent results. They do not focus on what you might be doing wrong at the moment, they simply show you how to build a better relationship with your dog. We completed the 4-week behavioral board and train program a couple weeks ago which exceeded our expectations in changing unwanted behaviors (biting people, resource guarding, constant barking, leash pulling) and taught our dog essential skills that are incredibly reliable (off-leash recall, heel, down-stay, place, giving up a bone with command, crate trained).We are now enjoying the life with our dog that we had always imagined which is full of off-leash adventures instead of constant stress and worry about our dog biting someone. The structure of the program was very effective (4 days with the trainers, 3 days over the weekend at home). Taking our dog home over the weekend was important for us to learn and practice the training to set us up for success at the end of the program. I was very hesitant about using e-collars at first, however Laura did an excellent job of answering all of my questions over the phone which gave me a better understanding and confidence in the training methods. We really appreciated that the trainers posted videos and updates of our dog on Instagram/Facebook throughout her stay so we could follow along with her progress and see what she was up to! They will care for your dog like one of their own and I left each week feeling confident that our dog was in excellent hands. The only regret I have is not signing up for the training sooner! We brought our husky in for help with leash training. Laura was amazing! Our dog immediately responded to her. She took the time to teach us some key training techniques. Our dog is now very well mannered on leash. Laura also helped teach us to keep our dog from mooching at the table (a challenge with three young kids). Using what Laura taught us our dog waits patiently, lying on her bed until we tell her “okay” after dinner.
