Pneus & Mécanique M T C

Pneus & Mécanique MTC are guys that have trusted with three different cars, I go there, my sister goes there, I not only do tire business with them but the whole mechanic. When I had my Mazda, Pneus MTC were systematically giving me a better price/quality service then the dealer. I had an electric issue at one point, where I would get a shock each time I came out of the car, the dealer told me they couldn't find the cause and the guys at MTC found it rather quickly.

They have adequate mechanics and terrible ones. I went for an investigation into a problem which i suspected to be sensor related. They told me it was my clutch. $1700 later i still had the problem. No apologies and no explanation. Then i decided that they were too imcompetent to do actual repairs and certainly to diagnose problems (there is much more, but im trying to keep it short) I brought them another car that i had just purchased. I put brand new tires a brand new suspension, the car was mint. All i needed was an alignment. At the end of the alignment, my left front wheel was off by 0.3 degrees and the right was off by 0.6 degrees. The manager said it was "perfect" after only 15 minutes of work. So 6 feet in the air, the mechanic doing the alignment removed the wheel blocks and my car rolled right off the lift (im not joking). Hanging on by two wheels my car came crashing down and got stuck between the two sides of the platform. My brand new shock was pressed in all the way. Luckily there was only minor damage to the undercarriage and skirts. My skirts were busted loose and required new clips. There was also part of the chassis where i would place the jack that was completely torn off by the impact. The first thing the manager told me was "in a way he was happy". The damage could have been worse i guess. They sent me to a body shop down the street to get it repaired. The next day i came to pick up the car and discovered that although they promised, the chassis piece was simply removed and not repaired at all. The owner responded to me "do you want a new car?". Possibly the worst thing of all is that the alignment isn't even straight at all and i will have to go somewhere else to finish it. They have permanently damaged my car, wasted my time and managed to screw up an alignment. Possibly the easiest thing to do correctly considering the computer tells you if its good or not. 1 star is generous considering they only hurt my car and did nothing to improve it. Until the moment i angrily left, they were still trying to get me to pay for the alignment, accusing me of attempting to get it for free. Yes MTC i put myself through a week of driving my car all banged up and a day of driving your disgusting loaner just to save 80$ on an alignment. That's what you're dealing with if you go there. I will say it is my fault that i went back after the first screw up. I thought they could handle an alignment at least. Boy was I wrong!

This garage had quick service although from hearing conversations with other owners there seems to be a lot of upselling unless everyone's car needed brakes,oil change and toe rods. I didn't appreciate being told that my tires with 5000km on them and 1 summer of use are no good and if I am sure I want to put them on. I was also told they are the wrong size despite them being from the dealer and being the same size as indicated on the door. I also didn't like an additional charge to remove my tires that was not told to me prior to the change. I was also asked if I wanted a bill for which I insisted since I was already paying I may as well make them declare that they were ripping me off. All in all the tires were installed but I won't be going back. Unpleasant experience.

I've been going to MTC for just under a year. My car is over 10 years old now and needs frequent repairs. I call for an appointment, get one the following day most times. I am given clear, concise explanation of the process, then a call with final quote with detailed work required. Happy to get my car back quickly, with reasonable cost at all times.

If your looking for friendly service and a garage that you can trust this is the place for you. A little story: When I brought my Hyundai Elantra 2013 in the garage because of engine problems, they first found the problem and shortly after started looking if there was a recall. Instead of giving me a price which I now know would have been thousands they found me a free alternative option (recall). After waiting 3 months to fix my engine from a Hyundai mechanic I found the car was heating up too fast and I immediately brought my car back to M.T.C garage. With short notice they inspected the job done by Hyundai and found that they had never connected the fan. This could have easily blown my engine causing me to potential get into an accident, especially since it was summer during a heat wave. They fixed my problem right away, and I have to give a big thanks and shoutout to M.T.C for being there time and time again for me.
