About Pita Pit
When Pita Pit began back in 1995, Braveheart was Best Picture, Seinfeld was all the rage, the Worldwide Web was just taking off and the DVD was new—and a major innovation.
So was the idea that drove Nelson Lang and John Sotiriadis to open their first Pita Pit in Kingston, Ontario.
Today’s trend toward healthier eating was still a long way off, but Nelson and John were ahead of the curve. They were convinced the time was right to offer a fresh, healthy alternative to traditional high-fat, high-carb, high-calorie fast foods. Their Lebanese-style pita sandwiches packed with fresh veggies, grilled meats and zesty sauces were an instant hit with the college and university crowd, especially since the store stayed open late—well into the wee hours of the morning, making it perfect for students taking a break from studying or coming home after a night of partying.
Within two years, franchise stores had begun opening right across Canada. Two years later, they were opening in the USA where the concept took off immediately with consumers of all ages.
Today, there are more than 650 Pita Pit stores in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Clearly, Pita Pit’s “fresh thinking, healthy eating” motto is an idea whose time has come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here multiple times this year as of 2020 and each experience was HORRIBLE. The lady working seems so unfriendly and rude. Very sloppy and messy pitas. Way to much vegetables and very little meat and way too much sauce. I tried to give it another shot but after reading these reviews I will never go back to this location. The woman working is very cheap with the toppings and it is unsanitary in there. Sorry I will be going to the further location in the S.W the woman working ruined it for me . I never see any other employees either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old and dry vegetables, nasty meat, horribly bland, the pita made my stomach sick, barely any meat and a lot of vegetables, the only good thing about the pita honestly was the veggies which were already horrible. I am sorry this is my first and last time going to this place. The lady wasn’t overly happy serving us, place was empty, and that makes sense why. I had good expectations for something healthy and fresh.

I was asking a question regarding my meal and she had no clue what I was talking about or how to answer me in a professional respectful manner
She rolled her eyes mulitiple times
And when it came to wrapping my under portioned chicken SLOVAKI wrap
She squashed it violently with her hands
Definitely won’t be returning here…. I recommend going to subway or a small family business for a way better pita
The most disappointing part is that it was my best friends birthday and she had to experience this awful lady

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Completely false advertising! I ordered my pita and after I paid and moved on to build it, I see a sign stating "free bacon". I asked the lady if it was really free bacon, and she said yes and added it, then charges me $4.00. I don't even know why I paid for it. I asked her why the sign says free bacon but yet they still charge for it. She was extremely rude and never answered me and would only say you need to pay for it, over and over. The experience left a complete sour taste and to top it off my pita was absolutely terrible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lady working there was on the phone the while time while serving me. I ordered a regular philly steak pita. She served me the small pita instead and charged the regular price. I asked her if I can see the difference from small and regular pita, she then proceeded to lie that she didn't have any small pitas available. I've been to Pita Put before and I do know the difference between the two sizes and this was definitely the small size. Very disappointed with the service.
