About Pita Pit
When Pita Pit began back in 1995, Braveheart was Best Picture, Seinfeld was all the rage, the Worldwide Web was just taking off and the DVD was new—and a major innovation.
So was the idea that drove Nelson Lang and John Sotiriadis to open their first Pita Pit in Kingston, Ontario.
Today’s trend toward healthier eating was still a long way off, but Nelson and John were ahead of the curve. They were convinced the time was right to offer a fresh, healthy alternative to traditional high-fat, high-carb, high-calorie fast foods. Their Lebanese-style pita sandwiches packed with fresh veggies, grilled meats and zesty sauces were an instant hit with the college and university crowd, especially since the store stayed open late—well into the wee hours of the morning, making it perfect for students taking a break from studying or coming home after a night of partying.
Within two years, franchise stores had begun opening right across Canada. Two years later, they were opening in the USA where the concept took off immediately with consumers of all ages.
Today, there are more than 650 Pita Pit stores in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Clearly, Pita Pit’s “fresh thinking, healthy eating” motto is an idea whose time has come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff not very polite or friendly at all almost rude actually, VERY EXPENSIVE $7 for a 12oz smoothie and for one adult and 2 kids it cost just over $40, and the food was nothing great very plain...sorry we won't be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, edit from 2 years ago. Delicious then, but this time only ok. Service poor. Order wrong and quite expensive. Took 2 grand kids and place an order for the 2 plus myself and for wife. Only got 3 orders instead of 4 thinking she had them all, considering Bill was almost $42. Once food was there, realized she missed one order. Amont of food was so small, barely enough to.fill my bog toe. Sad to say I won't be coming back, especially at these high prices and very small portions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food for reasonable price. The store is always super clean when I stop by. Staff are always polite and fast to make my order. My only complaint is that there is no tap function to pay without touching the debit machine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here couple times when going through brooks. Very clean, including washrooms. Staff have been super friendly on each visit. Have come off peak, so service was quick because I we were only ones there. They do have a couple of high chairs for a smaller kid. Standard pita-pit food, which is consistent. They gave generous helpings of toppings at this particular one. Location is a bit off the main drag, wish I would have found sooner.
