About PinkWood Ltd.
We only produce joists and products related to our patented fire-rated joist system. This includes the manufacture of WEBSHIELD® - our proprietary fire performance panel used to enhance the fire endurance of our standard joists.
We currently produce four categories of joists: Standard unprotected joists, Fire Rated, WEBSHIELD® protected joists for use over unfinished basements and crawlspaces, Coated joists (with a factory applied Flame Resistant Coatings), and our innovative, cost effective, Vertical Flange EZ Rim. Each of these categories performs a distinct purpose and are not offered by any other company.
Our name “PinkWood” was derived from the color of the fire rated coating, which we applied to our joists when the company was first started. Today, we only apply a distinctive pink sealer to the ends of our joists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This company business is effected by construction and economy. Every year winter it lays off, next summer hiring. Anytime they want you to overtime, you have to go with no any choice. Any time they want you stay home, you stay home. The whole plant is dusty noisy like a hell. Long time work here. My lung will be congested with wood powder. Management style is kind of slavery. They hire more people than need and let you guys everyone feel unstable. So whoever not favor to they will be let go.
Benefit is horrible. Once a year dental limit to $300. Without RRSP match. This year due to the construction down turn. The demand of the product is low, workers often let to stay in home no pay for 2 weeks. 3 days-work for a week is very often. It is kind of part time unstable if you want.
The boss makes more money as the equipment run fast. The worker was sent to home very often as the demand of worker hour less. Your pay check or benefit? Who care !
Try to avoid this career trap. If you looking for a stable job with future growing, look for other opportunities.
