Came within the time scheduled. Had all the tools and equipment at hand. Did a thorough cleaning of my Trane Furnace. It should run like a trane. Showed me the parts that needed cleaning on my now 14 year old Furnace. Excellent service and personnel. Will have to do a summer maintenance for sure.

Pinewood answered my call on the weekend and then arranged a service call on the following Monday. They were very reasonable with their rates. The serviceman arrived on time and was able to resolve my issue. The experience was very professional. The only improvement I would suggest would be that the serviceman should be required to use an indoor shoe or a shoe cover. I had tracks of dirty shoe prints to clean up afterwards. Other companies have been using indoor shoes/covers for a while now.

Came when agreed, discussed the work, installed the work, showed me how to operate and maintain, completed the work with the window they proposed. Took everything with them, swept up and left!

I've been calling Pinewood for my HVAC issues for years -- I have a number of properties -- but I just learned they can do gas fireplace maintenance too! They are THE best; I always recommend them. They do what's necessary, no more, and I often find it ends up costing less than I had expected. You don't get that from many service companies.

Firstly, Ken is super smart, super nice and a great tech. Nothing but 5* for that guy, who went out of his way to fix our furnace due to a faulty gas valve, which was left at the carrier by accident. Happens, and he fixed it so all good. My low star rating, which averages out to 3*, is due to their pricing model of 1*. I correctly diagnosed the issue, which Ken confirmed in 15 minutes and replaced in another 20 minutes (because he is awesome) and explained why the gas valve broke in the first place. I still was charged a $125 service fee as "We charge a $125.00+hst flat rate, whether the diagnosis takes 5 minutes or 5 hours" and a $220 gas valve labor fee (not including parts which I am sure there as also a markup on) for under an hour of total work! To recap that's $345 for less than 1 hour of work. Surely looking back you must realize that this pricing was ridiculous for the work performed. I'd hate to see your standard annual year inspection and maintenance fee, which I'm sure is not commensurate with the work performed and is a fixed price. It's easier to digest if the mechanic took hours to fix a clearly unknown issue, but when your mechanic solves it in under an hour, I am suprised you don't look back at your pricing instead of rinsing your customer. Unfortunate the the pricing policies won't have me return here for anything other than a major issue (since it seems its a standard price anyways) and a warning to others that, your diagnostic and fix may be quick, but you will get burned in standard cost they charge to fix an issue, regardless of time.

I use this company every year. They answer their phones, are super-professional, and show up on time. Pain-free! The person who came really knew his stuff, and happily explained what he was doing to me. Highly recommend.
