Rental apartment | Pine Allard and Willow Properties - Pineallardproperties.com

My husband & I moved into 769 Pine Street, Apt. 401 on June 26, 1967.  It was our first apartment as husband & wife.

We lived there for 2 years and enjoyed every minute,  So many good memories.

We met so many good friends there.   Many of the people in our building were from out of town so we kind of joined forces and had our own little village. The families were from England, British Columbia, Quebec, Southern Ontario& Italy.

As a new bride I did not have a lot of cooking skills and the family across the hall from us took it upon themselves to teach me how to cook spaghetti.   This was quite a feat as I had never had spaghetti and pizza was not in my vocabulary as I was from southern Ontario. We still drive by the apartment building to this day and say remember when!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on your anniversary and maintaining the buildings.

If i could give this a rating of zero out of 5 I would. Its a horriable place to live. Were do i start. first of all is the lack of repairs done in the apartments. old stoves and fridges that are outdated yet new tentents get new fridge and stove and such. they send out notices that are beyond stupid example we a replaces the front doors please throw out your old keys which would be okay if they're not telling you to throw them out two days before the doors are even changed. and since they are notourious for giving the wrong date on any of there notices i wouldn't be throwing my old keys out until i know for sure they are actually done. owner is always putting rent up above the guidelines. no super in the building this place is just like living in the slums. like i said zero out of five don't bother renting.

Where does one begin? I guess I'll just list the horrible experiences off one-by-one. 1. Moving into a new apartment? Get ready to start cleaning mud, sand, and dust off every room in the place beforehand. Each time I've moved to a separate unit, it had to be completely scrubbed down. They won't fix any wall chips or paint chips from previous tenants if it involves anything more than slapping some plaster on it and calling it a day. 2 units I've been in have both had unfixed gouges in the kitchen archways. 2. Moving out of your apartment? Be prepared! Imagine moving into your new apartment to have to clean it immediately, but have a requirement to clean it completely when you move out, and they'll charge you if you don't! Only here at Pine Allard Properties! 3. Are you a light sleeper? Do you enjoy a nice quiet atmosphere to get a full nights sleep? Well be prepared to make sure you're awake before 8am every single day! Unless you can sleep through loud contractors yelling in the halls and jack-hammering for hours on end! 4. Woah there, looks like a big winter storm is forecasted for 2 days from now! Don't fret, Pine Allard Properties will do their best to make sure they don't plow it until 3 days later and make you wake up at 8am to move your vehicle on a Saturday for them to not start until at least 10am! 5. Not sure how to make this one funny, but the maintenance crew flat out do not know how to install windows lol. I've lived in multiple units at Pine Allard Properties, and in every single unit, when the wind is blowing strong, the windows may as well be open. They are so drafty that curtains will literally blow open. 6. Look at that, it's Spring time, and Pine Allard Properties still has the heat blasted to a toasty 30 degrees celcius in the lobbies and hallways. Oh but wait, a few people on the very bottom floor are complaining they're cold, better make 3 other floors suffer for a handful of people on the least populated floor. 7. Looking for a personable, easy-going, friendly superintendent for your building? Not here! Pine Allard Properties thinks having a single manager for 5+ buildings is a way better idea! But don't worry, they have a 24 hour hotline for everyone to bombard when something goes south. That should take care of it. 8. Have some decent furniture that you can't be bothered selling and it's too nice to throw away? "DON'T PUT YOUR *JUNK* IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM!" Sorry Pine Allard Properties, I didn't realize my kind gesture of sharing decent shaped furniture was considering leaving my junk around. If only the super nice superintendents that allowed this for years were still around! 9. Have a question or concern about your apartment or the staff? Be prepared to deal with an angry little lady in the office that talks to you like you're stupid the entire conversation! 10. Are you a lazy dog owner that just can't be bothered picking up after their dog? This is the perfect place for you! They seemingly allow dog poop to be everywhere and do nothing about it. 11. Are one the laundry machines down or out of service? Be prepared to wait at least 1 month for it to be fixed! But don't worry, there are 2 others of each that barely work properly for you to wait for all day and night for. 12. *Sniff sniff*? What is that terrible smell in the lobby and nearly every hallway? Ohhh that's just the natural Pine Allard Properties essence. Get it in an essential oil today if you enjoy being miserable! The carpets are essentially never shampooed, the lobby reeks of stale air/cigarettes (yes, people smoke in the lobby and entrances and nothing is done about it), and a particular apartment *cough* bottom floor through the doors in the 108 building *cough* has smelled of cat piss for the last 2 years. 13. Get a new puppy and not sure how it will handle being alone the first few times? Better gag ball it, shock collar it, or SOMETHING immediately because you'll have an eviction notice the first instance it cries! Then again, about 90% of the dogs bark when someone walks by and nothing is done, so who knows!
