β β β β β My family has been renting a cottage at Pigeon Lake Resort every summer since the mid 1990βs. My daughters were just little girls when we first rented there and they are now 35 and 31 with young families of their own. I love sharing this special spot with my girls and my grandchildren now! Watching them fish off the same dock that they fished off as kids absolutely melts my heart!
The resort owners, Wayne & Karen Haagsma bought the resort just over 20 years ago, and they have made phenomenal and continuous improvements to the cottages inside and out and to the entire property each and every year! Rental fees are heavily reinvested in maintenance and improvements and it shows!!! They have managed to steadily add value and improvements while maintaining that βcottage feelβ all around.
The Haagsmaβs have always run the resort as a family and I think that is part of what makes it so special to me. I have watched their 3 daughters who are close to my daughterβs ages grow up. And now I get to watch our grandchildren grow up and play together when we visit each summer.
If youβre looking for a cottage resort that will make you feel right at home and part of the family for your stay, this is the place for you!
Thank you Wayne, Karen & family for ALL that you do to make Pigeon Lake Resort such a unique and special place! You are the BEST!!! ?

β β β β β Location is fantastic. The accomodation itself leaves a bit to be desired. Older furniture, creaky beds, paper thin walls, torn mosquito screen door, etc. not the best first impression. If all you need is a comfortable (albeit loud) bed to rest your head, then it's perfectly fine. Just temper your expectations aesthetically, and know that this isn't a 4-star lodge. Friendly owners, and the location is great! Right by the lake, and offers free canoe rental. I would visit again.

I have been fishing Pigeon Lake for over 15 yrs and have stayed at multiple resorts/private cottages all over the lake and I can say that Karen and Wayne are the greatest hospitality in the business,there isn't a place on pigeon lake that makes you feel more at home and comfortable as well as these people do.Thanks again as always you guys rock- see you soon for some more great fishing and gorgeous sunsets!??

β β β β β Karen and Wayne were great hosts! Very helpful when needed. Cottage #21 was just what we needed and had fantastic views from the edge of the lake. It was nice to have a fire every night and choice of eating on the picnic bench outside or in the eat in porch. We will definitely be back and definitely recommend. Great price and very close to Bobcaygeon.

β β β β β We gathered for my mom's 80th. The cabins were clean and welcoming. The sight lines are great for families with us being able to keep an eye on our kids easily from the cabin. The play structure was used a lot. The beach was clean and everyone friendly and helpful.

β β β β β We have been coming to Pigeon Lake Resort for 9 years now for our annual family vacation. We turned it into an annual Thanksgiving vacation a few years ago.
Wayne and Karen are excellent hosts. We have always been pleased with our stays and will continue to come back every year. We recently lost my mother and within a couple hours of us arriving last Saturday......Wayne arrived with a beautiful pot with tropical plants to offer their condolences. We appreciated that so so much!!
PS After reading other reviews, I wanted to point out Cottage 21 is the cottage we enjoy each year.....it was clean when we arrived and there is no noticeable lean to it as claimed in a previous review!
