★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely resort, wonderful cottages on the water = peaceful vacation. Close to grocery store, LCBO/ beer combo store(!). Enjoy the town of Buckhorn, small shops, Kawartha Dairy ice cream and the amazing Lock 31 on the Trent-Severn Waterway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grounds are clean, lake is beautiful, and town is a short walk away. Great for a family vacation. Cabins are not exactly 5 star, but they are equipped with everything you need to enjoy the beauty of the Kawarthas.

Perfect location, close to everything.
Grounds are well kept. Alex and Rosalinda are very helpful and welcoming.
Will come next time definitely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful time at Panderosa cottage this fall! All the cottages are quite dated but all what matter (AC, showers, kitchen appliances) work without issues. Due to COVID 19 restrictions we had to bring our own linens. The lake view is beautiful and multiple water activities are available (fishing, kayaking). One advantage of Shady Point resort is its close proximity to stores and restaurants. This advantage however has a cost - a relatively low privacy.
