I bought a $1500. Gift certificate for someone's 25th wedding anniversay with no date attached as this was a surprise & they told me verbally thst they had to have my credit card to issue the certificate which I was ok with but, a year later when the recipients asked for a posponement of the date they were told that it was not a problem as I never paid for it!!! SURPRISE & EMBARRASEMENT TO ME AS i was sure I had paid already as no one issues a gift certigcate valued in details on it without prior payment...very unethical!!!!

We just returned from a 5 day adventure on the R&R "Spin Drift" we travelled with 6 adults and 3 children and despite being close quarters we had a wonderful time and made many happy memories. I had read the reviews prior to leaving and had low expectations for the accomodations, I will say I think the boat could have been cleaned more thoroughly but we came prepared with Lysol wipes and air fresheners and did some cleaning of our own which helped other than that we had no concerns the fridge, freezer, cooktop and BBQ worked perfectly the boat ran well, the led lights gave us whatever light we needed at night, the beds were not comfortable but next time we would bring some foam for the tops, a small 8x8 canopy would be a must for next time to sit on top of the boat over the captain's chair, also something I didn't realize there are no outlets on the boats, there was one cigarette lighter with a power inverter we all took turns using to charge the phones but that was it. Our trip started in Bobcaygeon where we watched a spectacular fireworks show on July 1st and slept overnight at the lock, one word of caution these are big boats when coming into the locks go slow take your time and don't panic we had 3 handy fellows travelling with us who had boating experience and it was still pretty intense with some of the traffic in the locks we encountered, you are extremely close to some very big expensive boats and the owners are very quick to help you navigate and tie off on the blue line because they have seen the damage a houseboat can do, it was a little scary at times. We spent the night tied up at the lock and then turned and made our way all the way to Lakefield and back in 4 days , we stopped to swim, float and fish whenever we wanted we BBQd, ate and played games while we cruised we moored overnight at Buckhorn, Stoney Lake and Burliegh Falls. We met amazing people along the way and I can not say enough nice things about the Parks Canada Employees and the Lockmasters at each stop they went out of their way to help us and always offered advice and tips when needed. It was truly an adventure and I would rent from R&R again in the future!

Our first houseboat experience probably won't be our last thanks to R & R Houseboats! Chad and his team offered great advice and tips but where they really impressed was responding to a couple mechanical issues so efficiently they are hardly worth mentioning! Our 60' boat was clean and well-appointed. Our group of 10 had plenty of room so nobody felt cramped for space. Twin engines helped maneuverability of this huge boat. Beds aren't particularly comfortable for most adults but I suspect that's pretty typical of houseboats. If you're considering renting a houseboat you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere better!

Just returned from a very memorable weeks holiday with R&R! Would highly recommend! The office staff was great to deal with, our boat needed minor repair during the week, and the crew was incredibly fast and friendly to come and get us back up and running! We brought a small generator to power our coffee maker, since we would rather not use the percolator, but other than that the boats are fully equipped and ready to go. Got off the boat and immediately booked a weeks holiday for next summer! Thanks R&R!!

We had an absolutely fantastic week on the water with our R & R Houseboat. The orientation was quick and Chad offered lots of great idea’s for places to visit and stay for the night while on the water. Most people we met while travelling were very friendly and helpful as well. Travelling into the locks and docks were a bit anxious as we learned how the boat moved but we were able to do so without any incidents (and my wife instructing me to just go SLOW). We unfortunately suffered some engine issues on our last day but the staff were quick to get to our location and provide service.

Just got back from a 4-day trip on one of the 40’ boats with 8 people. We had a blast and found the staff at R&R to be very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this experience! A few things to note: 1. There are no power outlets on the boat except for one inverter at the front, so bring power banks. 2. We found the kitchen to be very well stocked, so it shouldn’t be necessary to bring anything kitchen items. If you can’t find what you are looking for, just keep looking - it is probably in one of the many drawers. It is however a good idea to bring extra garbage bags. 3. Plan where you would like to go in advance. We stayed on the east side of Big Island the first and last night, only a half hour trip from R&R. We unsuccessfully aimed for Wolf Island the second night but turned around due to seaweed and shallow waters. Apparently the best way to get there is to go through the Lovesick lock and come back around. 4. Going through locks - the lockmasters were great. It is a bit intimidating to be sure but should be doable. Just hope that there isn’t a big expensive boat on the other side. 5. Follow the charts provided in the boat closely. The lake is very shallow and weedy in areas. The map will help you avoid these areas and possible expensive charges for a damaged prop.

Rented a 44 footer for a guys long weekend and had a great time. Upon arrival they were quick to get us acquainted with the boat and on the water. We had a minor issue with the bbq while out on the lake and the staff came to fix the problem within a 1/2 hour. He even helped us properly beach our boat on an island. I would recommend R and R. There boat was spacious with tonnes of storage. I only wish the boats came equipped with electric outlets. We will rent again next year for sure. Thank you for a great weekend!

Wow !!!!! What a Great Adventure. Four couples a "60 ft Luxury Liner " and no scheduled, we felt like VIP's the whole time . The boat was easy to drive and the lock masters were very helpful. It rained a few days and the boat was big enough for us all to spread out comfortably. The sleeping births are very spacious and well designed ( We all had our own room) . Plenty of chairs and everything we needed in the way of utensils etc. The Trent waterway is beautiful .Great way to end the evenings was to all sit around the fire topside with a few adult beverages. Would recommend to all my friends ... P.S. Thanks Chad for the quick service when we ran into a little glitch (Ouch) R&R allowed us to R&R on " A Little R&R" Great Staff Great Boats.
