The family of Leila (Lee) Sparling wish to sincerely thank Pierson’s Funeral Service for their compassionate and dedicate attention to our family’s needs for Lee. Not only did we receive professional and courteous attention, but the heartfelt extra time they have spent with us on the details before and after the service went above and beyond. Their staff are kind and committed to ensuring this last memory of our loved one was delivered as expected and more if they could. They were committed to continued coverage with the family whether weekday, weekend or staff days off and we thank Jordan and Teresa for that teamwork so we did not need to worry. We offer our gratitude for Bridget, who unexpectedly stepped in on the day of the service to assist us with Officiating. It was her gentle but strong presence and guidance that made all the difference and allowed all of us to be present at the service rather than focusing on what was to be delivered next. Jordan for her obvious passion for families going through this process and ensuring nothing but the best service and kindness is extended. I am not sure how much expectation we had in our head about what the service and customer service would or should be like, but I can say from the start of the process to the end along with all the wonderful mementos and complimentary inclusions – it has been amazing and truly appreciated. This is the second time in a month we have needed Pierson’s services and they have consistently delivered. Our family sadly lost both our parents within a year; Dad Feb. 2021 and Mom Feb. 2022. Out of love for their children, Mom and Dad had pre-arranged their funerals entirely through Pierson's Funeral Home in Calgary – MANY years ago. David O. was our funeral director who took care of our family when Mom passed on February 2; he made sure all Mom’s wishes were met and was very supportive, compassionate, and organized when it came to dealing with my siblings and I. Dave O. ALWAYS made time for my family, and promptly dealt with our needs and requests. We appreciated his experience and open communication. David worked very closely with the graphic designer “Nancy” who designed the most beautiful folder that fit Mom beyond words. Nancy was extremely prompt at making changes upon our requests and was very patient as several emails went back and forth until Mom’s folder was PERFECT. The “After Care Service” was greatly appreciated as Government forms can be very confusing when going thru this grieving process. THANK YOU to all the staff involved with Mom's service. If you want peace and comfort during this time of sorrow, Pierson's Funeral Service will provide that for you. There's something about a mother's passing that requires a little more tenderness. Mom passed away November 1. Pierson's Funeral Service had taken care of the funeral for our Father 3 years earlier, and we were very happy with their care and attention to detail. I was a little more involved in Mom's funeral, so I had more discussions with David and Kerry in particular. What wonderful, caring people. Even on a holiday, they were right there with us, making the room for the viewing just right. The funeral service was perfect and the Interment was handled so well. Never did we feel rushed or unimportant. I am sure Mom was happy with everything, as was our whole family. Thanks so much!!

Piersons supported our family through the loss of a pregnancy. Planning the cremation of our son seemed nearly insurmountable. It was very important for us to find a funeral home that understood this type of loss and who cared deeply for us and our son. Piersons came recommended from the hospital and from research online.
