★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I LOVE this place BUT I really wish they would bring back ceramic mugs, porcelain plates and cutlery. The garbage outside is brimming full of all the takeout containers even though people ate on the picnic tables outside. What really broke my heart was the compostable cup that now ends up in the landfill. Please do better Picnic Too and I promise I will be a regular customer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really wanted to love this spot, but after 3 negative experiences I just cannot.
This morning I ordered a cold brew and breakfast sandwich. No sense of urgency amongst the staff, waited almost 20 minutes for a single sandwich. When I received it had one half strip of bacon and one measly dab of mayo.
The breakfast sandwich I got before was on a different style bun, so I was disappointed it was not consistent and this bun was much more messy.
A woman ordered after me yet received her order before as well. If staff are standing around up front, maybe they can stay out of view or do something to help the kitchen staff as the wait for food is far too long for anyone in the morning or on a lunch break.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had avocado on toast with eggs. There was absolutely no flavour. My friends said their food was good though.
Food came on paper plates with what I’m assuming is biodegradable cutlery. There is no need for this. Especially for the price paid. It takes seconds to load a dishwasher and put it through. A staff of three can easily do this…this morning there were at least 3-4 people working and it wasn’t busy. I get that during the pandemic this was the norm in some places but we are coming out the back end. Little social distancing and no masks so no reason to still be dirtying the environment with single use junk even if it is “biodegradable“.
I get the feeling they are trying to be trendy but it really felt like a low budget café.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There's a lot more value in a coffee at Picnic Too than what's in your cup, which is already delicious. The music is enjoyable. The staff are bright, friendly, and do their jobs well. There are items on the menu that are so addictive, you'll wonder why you hadn't found the place sooner. And there is always someone interesting to meet...
But that hardly says it at all.
Whether you are with friends or alone, Picnic is hands down one of the best places to go in Victoria. It is a fun, unique, and authentic experience.
The fact is, Picnic Too is making a positive contribution to the culture of this city. The owner deserves congratulations for having done such a great job. He is a model leader. His business is pro-social, creative, and successful... and Victoria is a better place because of it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to stop for breakfast, the ingredients are fresh, healthy, and the combination of them made for a delicious meal. I highly recommend the macro bowl. The drinks were also very yummy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is good, the burrito was very flavourful and wrapped well. Giving it 4 stars only because they automatically charge you 15% for tips. The only service we got was the staff bringing out our food to the table. Not sure if that warrants a 15% mandatory tip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food for an amazing price. I cannot tell you how delicious food is here. It wasn't even busy. I just fear that over time this place will gain popularity and there will be a wait for brunch going forward.
