โ โ โ โ โ On begining I was just excited about this place, as have 3 small kids at that time under 4 and one has developmental delay, but after having knowing some of the staff, even thinking about YMCA makes me anxious... There is not about the rules, it is about the way how they force the rules but dont follow them by themself... I talked to manager and she had hot coffe in front of her in the office...and she was explaining to me how parents can not have any drink except the water. As well YMCA staff can have coffee while they are watching kids in playground, and I saw bringing coffe in the tray from Tim Hortons to their office while kids were around but I can not have the cold drink that I made early morning and hoping that will have 15 minutes time there to finish it. They use oven to bake their food and use sterilazor for dishes while kids are around... They dont allow me to make video of my own kids, but they hang photos of hundred kids on the walls publically. I heard from a lot of parents the same story, they go to library instead or Mcdonalds. It is too bad that is only YMCA Early Years in all Durham area... Need to be public provider, YMCA is private organisation who gets money from government and for what we are paying taxes but not getting the real use except rude behaving from their staff. Some employees are good and nice but they are quite and watching from the side.
