My knee pain has been on and off for years and I could never figure out the cause of the pain. Many people told me it was growing pain, but getting into my 20’s, my knee was still hurting and I did not think I was doing anymore growing. After completing my sessions at PhysioStop, my knee pain has been fixed and is now being maintained. In my first session, Leah and Dacia did such a thorough full body assessment, that to my surprise the pain from my knee was actually because of stress being put on my knees because of my back. Having done the rest of my sessions with Leah, I can say that I am thoroughly impressed and I highly recommend PhysioStop to anyone looking for a physio clinic that provides 5 star service. Leah does an amazing job in all my sessions in making me feel comfortable with doing treatments. What I love is that they do not only focus on the pain occurring now and short term treatment, but they focus on exercises that will help you maintain your good posture and form for the long term. These changes have immensely changed my quality of life and I could not be more grateful to Leah and team for helping me get there.

I saw physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, acupuncturists, and got zero longterm improvement, and their adjustments often caused my pain to flare up leaving me worse than before my treatment. I went to my first appointment with Dacia full of skepticism. I soon realized that Dacia had the skill level and clinical knowledge to help my pain without flaring my symptoms. Within four treatments I was seeing lasting improvement, for the first time ever. I saw Dacia every two weeks for about 6 months and my pain improved dramatically. With Covid I did not see Dacia for 4 months. In the past that would have been 4 months of bad pain and headaches but to my amazement Dacia’s treatments had let me heal enough that I remained comfortable. Dacia accomplished what literally no other practitioner has been able to. I was thrilled to learn that Dacia is now mentoring other talented physiotherapists to teach them her treatment techniques, because what she does is unique in my experience. I cannot recommend PhysioStop highly enough.

She was able to treat the underlying issue and educate me on how to take preventative measures through exercises to avoid re-injuring myself while returning to lifting. She eventually moved to a clinic further away from me so I decided to find a new physiotherapist for the sake of convenience and a shorter commute time. Fast forward to 2020, I was rear ended while stopped at a traffic light and knew I wanted the best treatment for my recovery. The day immediately following the accident, I visited Physiostop and was pleased to hear Dacia has been growing and mentoring her own team since I had last seen her. I've been primarily been working with Leah for my physiotherapy treatments and she has been so adept and invaluable with assessing, treating and explaining the biomechanics of my injuries. I've recently started active rehab with Zoe who has also been very contributive to the beginning of my journey of regaining my range of motion, stability and strength back. I'm so glad I was able to reconnect with Dacia and to experience the care that her and her team provide at Physiostop. The commute time (up to 45 minutes) is 100% worth the quality of skillful treatment, professionalism and friendliness provided by Dacia, Leah and Zoe.

It was a physio session that focuses on stress reduction and tension release rather than healing injury. My session was with Leah and she was so great. She checked in often and kept me very comfortable. I spent the first 10 minutes of my appointment making a mental list of all the people in my life that would love this treatment but then had too stop because I was too relaxed to think about anything. A great option for those, like me, who love massage. But also great for those who may not like the getting undressed and intense touching part of massage, as you stay fully dressed and contact with the therapist is much more precise and targeted. The aromatherapy paraffin wax treatment that came with the session was a fun treat too and really added to the overall spa like experience. I would really recommend this to everyone.

Leah Turman is a certified specialist in her field, who skillfully administers her knowledge of the human body to diagnose and prognose the physical ailments of her patients. Her techniques are unique, combining physical exercise with guided joint manipulation, as she helps her patients reconnect with their body, in a very technical sense of the word, by building or restoring neurological pathways in the brain; in this way, Leah creates lasting relief for her patients and helps them understand their body in the process. My partner and I have seen her as patients ourselves, and we are both incredibly pleased with the results: we would highly recommended trying out her services!

I started off with so much physical problems from neck to toe, due to a snowboarding injury, bad posture, wrong breathing and feet problems which she curiously analyzed and manually treated for me one by one, and now, I am slowly understanding how this complicated body works and feeling certain relief that I have never felt before with my previous and numerous chiropractors, massage therapists, physiotherapists and acupuncturists for hundreds of hours of sessions that hardly bring in long term results in a span of almost a decade, until she was recommended to me by one of these therapists. It was like kissing a hundred frogs until I finally found her, and it is an enormous relief!

Meeting with Dacia has been a life-changing experience, as she correctly diagnosed the underlying issue, which got me referred to a rheumatologist to deal with it properly, and has made such a difference in my life it's hard to capture in a single Google review how much it's meant to me. Since then, I've kept coming back to work with Dacia and Leah to help with all my other body issues that come from rock-climbing, mountain biking, skiing, mountaineering, and in the last few months, being a new-dad (carrying around a one-year-old turns out to be tougher than I thought). So yeah, five stars. Six stars if I could. Dacia and her team are beyond amazing.

We've had a couple treatments so far and I've noticed a huge improvement, no more meltdowns when he is buckled in and almost seems to enjoy the car ride. The team at PhysioStop was great with him, going with his pace and being very gentle and respectful to his needs (and mine). Never would have thought to bring my baby to a physiotherapist but I now tell everyone about PhysioStop!
