I enjoyed living in this building. Parking and rent was reasonably priced and the location is great. I found the staff and other tenants extremely friendly and had no problems while living here. Management kept the hallways, elevators, and lobby clean - and always helped answered my questions.

They knew my neighbour had a bad bedbug infestation and didn’t tell, or spray, anyone around her.

The halls are always dirty. They have break ins in the parking lot and bike rooms and they don’t report to police or tenants. They are rude and uncaring. They won’t take responsibility for anything. Rent is way to high. I would Not recommend moving here

I have lived in this building for 10 years almost and the previous building owners were amazing! (Triole investments) However, a little over a year ago they sold to Homestead and it has been a nightmare ever since. Homestead does not care about their tenants at all. During winter the parking lot was not ploughed properly on many occasions and because of this I fell and they told me there is nothing they can do about it. More recently they have been doing construction in the penthouse and during this time have drilled into our apartment without proper notification of what areas, which resulted in our bathroom, kitchen, and closet (clothing and personal belongings) being covered in concrete peices, dust, debris, and solder. We've lived with our clothing and personal belongings pilled on our couch for almost two months now as we can't use our closet. Our bikes have to be stored in our apartment as well because they closed down the bike room, needless to say our already small place is very difficult to live in comfortably and cleaning is very difficult not only because of everything be displaced but the constant debris coming through the holes in our closet, bathroom and kitchen. I had food on the kitchen counter and a bunch of wall debris came out of the hole all over our food. These are just SOME of the issues that have been going on for the past 6 months. Everytime I speak to them about issues I get the same responses which are "oh" and "I can't do anything about it". That being said there is one superintendent here that is very nice and I do believe he actually cares. He has helped as much as he could. I would never recommend moving into this apartment building, EVER! It's truly unfortunate because it's a very good location and the building it's self is very nice. I will be moving out as this is not comfortable or habitable living space for all the reasons listed above and than some. If you can avoid this place I would recommend you do so.

Avoid renting here. Homestead completely ruined this building when they bought it in 2017. It's not well maintained (laundry room is filthy and common areas and fixtures are never really clean) and loud, and tenants are constantly being disrupted by service interruptions and other nuisances imposed on them by Homestead. The company can't keep staff so tenants are often left to sort things out on their own. Homestead takes no care in selecting the tenants it allows into what was once a really nice, well-run building, and as a result, security is lacking. I would definitely NOT recommend this apartment building or landlord to anyone I care about.

I'm actually moving out of this building as I have purchased my first home! But I have to say - it is so bitter sweet! Patti (one of the building managers) is so kind and sweet! Always a smile on her face and super helpful! She made my moving out experience so easy and really took the time to make sure I had what I needed. She is definitely one of the best ones to have worked at this building so I will really miss having her around every day. Sam is such a nice guy too! Super friendly and smiling all the time. Both of them are very hard workers and truly care about the tenants. I will miss the other tenants too! The building is mostly seniors which makes me feel very safe and they are some of the cutest people around. I always have a welcomer when I come home and I love it :) I will miss this place

This building was one of the best living place in Ottawa until Homestead took over. The current management is very unprofessional. The building manager is rude and uneducated. No manner doesn’t know how to approach tenant in a professional way. The property manager doesn’t respond to tenants complaints. This building is not even secure anymore as someone stolen my bike seat from locked bike room. I don’t think they do proper security check anymore as they only see money. Try to Avoid.

Building is going downhill everyday. My uncle lives here and it’s never been so bad. Building management is completely incompetent and not helpful. Where did you find these staff? Are they even qualified to manage such a large building? They do no want to address tenant issues and would rather brush the issues aside rather than actually do any work to resolve the problem. A lot of seniors who currently live in the building feel unsupported by the current building manager. The consensus is that they are not dealing with tenant issues in order to push the old tenants out so they can charge new tenants more rent and make more money. Disgusting!! Previous building management company actually took the time to speak with the tenants of the building and worked to help the tenant. With current management in place I DO NOT recommend moving in! Save yourself the money and piece of mind.!!!
