I needed a fountain pen and with little knowledge of the features and options, it was explained to me with patience and obvious expertise. Was slightly concerned about the cost but I did comparisons with online retailers after my purchase and they compared very favourably. Wouldn't have gotten the customer service from an online retailer.

We were impressed with the store itself—a charmingly quaint yet unpretentious shop in downtown Galt. The journal selection was great: from locally sourced ones, to international brands, as well as the more commonly available names. We left the store with a beautiful journal and a postcard. But most of all, we were really taken by the owners and their kindness and warmth. Mano is a lovely person and great to talk about stationary, but also everything else. We plan to go back for pens soon. It’s not common to find locally owned stationary stores these days. So if you’re looking for quality stuff, good prices, great recommendations and an experience—we unreservedly endorse Phidon Pens.

With every order I place and with every interaction I have with all members of the Phidon team, I feel welcomed and understood for my deep affection for excellent quality products. They have a unique buying philosophy and often stock items that cannot be found elsewhere in Canada. Need a Roterfaden from Germany, ask Mano! Need a Hobonichi from Japan, ask Mano! Need the latest from Appointed in the US, ask Mano! Need a super exclusive watercolour paper from the UK, ask away! They really will go to the other side of the world to find the products. They deliver quickly and such a joy to unwrap every delivery. The store is small, and I love that throughout the pandemic they've offered effortless ways to visit safely and to browse for every kind of adventurer out there. There are very few places like Phidon and very few with amazing people like the team there. Run, don't stop!

Not inly are the owners and staff incredibly knowledgeable about all things fine writing, bit they are honestly some of the friendliest, kindest, fun people I've met! Walking into this store feels like walking onto a real community or a wonderland! It is small, but that inly lends to its coziness! Please be sure to visit and support local when you are in the market for pens, inks and paper! This store is a gem and well worth the support!

Very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about all the different paper, inks, and of course pens. Got a couple of products as gifts, and so much more for myself. I'm very glad I live fairly far away or this shop would get all of my money way too often. Several things are exclusive to Phidon, and many others are just hard to find, especially in Canada.

A well rounded collection of writing and calligraphy supplies, inks, paper and other stationery supplies. Items are well priced. But the star of the show is the level of personal service, dedication and customer satisfaction by the team. Definitely a fan of the place now. And definitely will be visiting soon.
