Petro-Canada - Vegreville

This review doesnt apply to Vegreville Pizza as it is an independent business. I struggle to put this rating in for a few reasons. The first being that the server behind the counter was exceedingly kind and friendly. Just speaking with her was a pleasure. Secondly, at the time of my visits I beleive that staff were still being trained on the very expensive fryers and machines that Petro has invested in. We really havent had a real quick stop food place since 7 /11. So my first try at their food was 2 chili dogs for $4. I was really suprised as the dogs actually tasted like something. A nice smokey flavor to them. To my dissapointment though, the topping I requested (onion) as well as the chiili and cheese sauce were pooply lacking. If you have a chili cheese dog and can see the hot dog then you definitely dont have enoght toppings. To her credit my server fixed that situation after I brought it up. My second trip got me diving into some deep fried goodness. Fish and chips. Now the sign said 2 pieces of fish but I ended up with 3. No complaints there. Its not an instant process so if your looking to run in and out then don't order this. The meal itself had some issues. First, one piece of fish was freezer burnt on the end. Additionally the fries were not crisp but soggy, even when being served. I did love the fact that my server covered me in tartar sauce. Well, not literally but she gave me 3 containers. Beautiful! The fish was actually really, really amazing. If I wasn't so poor I would have come back for 3 more pieces of deep fried goodness. Im sure that many of the issues I brought up may have been resolved by now so I am happy to revisit this review with some more research. Thanks guys.

In about March of 2020 I stopped in to use their showers after fueling up. Absolutely disgusting. Paper towel everywhere, dirty, multiple signs saying to "clean up after yourself" that "these showers are meant to be used by people only", "no sleeping allowed". If that's the condition you plan on leaving the washroom / shower just close it permanently. It was absolutely disgusting.
