I just wanted express my appreciation to the Petland staffs who were working at Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta location today (March 15th, 2021) between 3 to 4 pm.
My brother and I took my 37months old daughter, who is a reptile enthusiast, to Petland to show her favorite reptile chameleon today. We went straight to the reptile section and the whole store was pretty empty at the time because it was still quite early. We were just thankful that my little one could take time to look and explore all the animals in store. The staff working at the Reptile section was cleaning cages and seemed very busy but she was very friendly and took time to show us the frog which she was getting ready to feed and clean. My little one was so amused to see a real life frog for the first time and had the biggest smile on her. I could even see her smile through the mask she was wearing and my heart warmed up instantly.
Then we visited the small animal section to see bunnies. They had brought in new bunnies and the staff working at the section greeted us with a smile. We felt so welcomed and thankful that she took time to let us explore all the little animals in the section. We have been to several different Petland locations in Edmonton area but nowhere can top the customer experience we had at Fort Saskatchewan location today. My little one was so excited and happy and my brother and I also had an awesome experience.
As we walked out of the store, we both regretted not getting the staffs names who helped us so we can show appreciation.
Please send our gratitude to ALL the staffs at Fort Saskatchewan location. We will most definitely come back to check out more animals and will be back to bring home a small companion for my daughter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my first time at this particular location, and I didn't hesitate to select 5 stars for this review. All 3 lady staff (at the reptile, birds and small pets section) were so friendly and professional, and they all contributed to make it such a perfect shopping/browsing experience for my niece, sister and myself. It's a pity that I didn't ask for their names.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a beautiful, well organized, quality store. We were very impressed. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. The pets they have all look very well cared for and they require you to fill out a questionnaire to make sure you are up to the responsibility of caring for the bird, hamster, rabbit etc. before letting you purchase them. If you find you can't handle the pet they will be happy to have you surrender them back to them and they will find them another home. Great pet products as well.

The lady went above and beyond to tell us all that she knew and was extremely helpful. The store is always clean and the staff are so friendly/outgoing. I highly recommend a shopping trip here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in today with the intention of just buying fish. Decided to buy a whole new tank and decorations to accommodate the types of fish i wanted. Multiple times staffed walked by me as i stood by their please wait sign in their fish section, not one of them asked if they could help me or let me know they would get to me soon. One girl was obviously busy with another customer but another staff would walk past me to help someone else twice, with other staff mi gling around the store and by the tills. I waited in the section for about 30 minutes of being ignored by the staff before finally deciding that they obviously didnt want my buisness returned the tank to the pile and left.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came in from out of town to buy some items for my leopard gecko, stopped to look at the reptiles they had as well. They take way better care of their lizards here than the Cold Lake PetLand does. Knowledgeable, helpful staff, good prices, and really good selection for reptile accessories. If I’m ever back in Fort Saskatchewan I will absolutely be stopping in again!
