Each time I've been there the employees working put no effort into helping me with the cats. I understand they are only holding them for Steinbach rescue, but you would think that they would care a little about the cats being adopted considering they work at a pet store. I was very disappointed when all of the questions I asked were answered with "I don't know" and when I asked to look at them I was answered with "If you don't plan on adopting one no." How am I supposed to know if I am going to adopt one if I don't take a look at it? Overall I just feel disappointed with the lack of care for the adoption process of the cats.

We recently saw a upsetting review in regards to our animals being in their store and It disappoint us… because we know how much they put him to caring for our animals! One of the complaints was that the employees do not let everybody pick up and hold the kittens that we have for adoption there… That is our rule not theirs the animals get stressed out when too many people are handling them so if you’re not serious about adopting then we kindly ask you to not handle them. Another complaint was the staff not knowing much about the animals we have there for adoption, we try to give them as much info as possible but it comes down to potential adopters contacting us the animal rescue for more info… we cant expect the staff to know and remember all the details of the animals in their care although for future reference we will provide them a Intel sheet about the animals:) once again thank you Pet Valu for always being there for us!!

Remembers my pets names when I bring them in, and even sponsored the local 4-H Provincial Team many years ago when I was a member. These days I bring my Dalmatian puppies in for the socialization (the store clerks are awesome!) and I buy goodies for my puppy families’ swag bags. They have a wonderful discount program where you get free bags of dog food as well. 10/10 recommend! :)

They are extremely knowledgeable and are very good at helping through any problems and situations that I may have with my dogs -- willing to tailor to my specific circumstances and requests. The store is clean and well organized with lots of different products. As soon as you walk in the door the staff is friendly and ready to help, and the cats walking around the store provide a nice greeting too. Highly recommend this store for all of your pet needs.
