★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got there at 5:55, they close at 6. The open sign was still on but the door was locked and the girl wouldn't open it. So a warning, if you're going here, leave yourself a good buffer. I'm not sure what time they actually close.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time I have ever had a bad experience at Pet Valu. Maybe it us just the Renfrew store. The young lady "assisting" me seemed like she would rather be doing anything else. First time I felt like just walking out if the store, if I didnt really need to make a purchase, I wouldn't have.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The manager is rude and uninviting towards pet as well as owners. Definitely not the right fit for this job. Both Arnprior and Pembroke stores were pleasant to shop at, completely different environment.
Telling like it is customer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to your store on Tuesday in renfrew to buy the large cat tree on display.we have a new kitten.
We waited by the counter while your sale clerk ignored us and keep ringing through orders as they arrived..we were first in store..nobody approached us...we are seniors...was that the problem?
So after some time we left...went home and ordered our cat tree on the internet..and io
Imight add...it turned out to be somewhat cheaper.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like the pet food here, which is why I continue to go but have to agree with other reviews, staff needs to be trained on treating customers in a pleasant manner. On several occasions, I have been spoken to rather rudely by staff, a few of them in particular. I’ve been told I’m going the wrong way in the aisles, didn’t preorder my few items(!), can’t take the cart outside( yet the young girls won’t help and the bags are heavy), don’t touch the counter, etc, etc, but there’s a way to say anything that doesn’t feel condescending. I actually dread going to this store, as I’ve had so many negative experiences. I wouldn’t return if my animals weren’t used to the food and if there was another Pet Valu closer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a frequent shopper at this location. After today's experience I will not be shopping at this store again. I will order online. I was refused entry into the store by a very disrespectful employee due to my disability. When I told her I wouldn't be back until things changed and their employees could learn to respect and not discriminate against customers with disabilities, the young girl beside her giggled. This is completely unacceptable.
