★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Senior Management is discriminative based on culture and colour.
Non-white ununionized staff are ill-treated; their rates are below industry norm and general labour pay. Their annual increment had been 18 cents for the past couple of year whereas white staff even students get $6 increment with benefit even before completing 1 year. Black & other community staff are excluded from yearly performance adjustment pay. White staff are asked to work in-person less days than non-white staff in hybrid work setup. Management does not follow budget guidelines; spend on unnecessary expenses and penalise PSW’s basic rights. Board of directors often persuade finance team to disregard ministry/ funding specification. Auditors later accuse finance team for not following industry rules. If anyone intends to join finance team think 10 times before making the decision. The little salary that is paid is not worth the stress; workload passed on to finance team with disrespect, false accusation and discriminative treatment; and the sick leave these staff take due over workload.
In short, very inefficient senior management team which is slow in proactive decisions and does not have critical thinking ability. Staff are promoted for director/ interim positions based only on personal preference; not based on experience and qualifications. Later these unqualified directors make unwise/ cost ineffective decisions and over spent PSW’s money. Very unpleasant working experience with the management and the board.
