Constitution Place Retirement Community by Spring Living

My mom living there for 7 years.The care was good well she was mobile and dementia was in early stages but as her health worsened the charges went up tremendously and care was terrible due to understaffing!!! The only people benefiting are the owners!! All I can say is as your loved one worsens transfer to nursing home ...much more staff and equipment.

I have lived here for 2 years and I love the residents and the staff. The staff are wonderful. Great TLC. They are very considerate and very helpful. I participate in the activities including the crossword program and exercise programs and I really enjoy them. The recreation department has great activities such as sing alongs, dancing, quizzes and great entertainment! As a current resident, I would strongly recommend others living here as well.

My Aunt has received a lot of attention and care from the Staff and Team Members since she arrived. The communication has been excellent and my Aunt is settling in well. All this attention and care makes me as a family member feel very comfortable and confident with Constitution Place.

Thank you to all the Staff at Constitution Place for such wonderful care of my mother. In these times when everything is unknown the only positive light is how safe, cared and loved my Mom is receiving from everyone. It is so greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Patti Brooking

I want to thank all of the staff at Constitution Place for taking such good care of my mother everyday and especially now during this pandemic. I feel so blessed and relieved that my mother is receiving such kindness and care. All of your efforts are very much appreciated ❤

Constitution Place has been a safe haven for my mother whose health deteriorated to a point where she could no longer be cared for properly in her previous retirement home. The staff made me feel supported and assured me that even though she could no longer walk, they would be able to care for her. Along with the dedicated LHIN workers, nurses and PSW staff my mother has received such wonderful compassionate care. Having all the services available on site including the Doctor, Dentist, Chiropodist and Optometrist has been a godsend. My Mom has never been able to meet any of the other residents in person but she still feels valued and grateful for the interaction she does receive. They have created a safe and comfortable home for her in her last stage of life and for that I am truly grateful. Thank you ladies with all my heart.

My Mother resided at Constitution Place for 11 3/4 years. She was very happy there as the care from all the staff was excellent. From the first moment we arrived in March 2009 we knew from the help and welcome the staff gave us, we had found a gem. Mother enjoyed all the various activities, her table mates, Happy Hour, various entertainment, theme meals, gatherings and warm welcomes to family and visitors from all the staff. Mother's medical care was excellent, the on staff doctors were attentive and very caring. There was never a time that we felt ignored. As Mother aged, her care advanced and was very appreciated. I am missing visiting Constitution Place as I felt they were my extended family. Many of the staff treated my Mother as their own Mother, it does not get any better than that. February 7 2022 Mr. Jim Brown Vice President of Operations Springliving Retirement Communities Dear Mr Brown Our Mother Camille Worrell has an extensive list of medical conditions. Her most challenging are her mobility issues and her limited vision due to severe macular degeneration. In July 2021 she was very sick and was in hospital for 4 months. She was finally discharged and we arranged residence at a Retirement Residence in Etobicoke. The facility was a complete disaster and we needed to move her out immediately. We were in a crisis situation. We advised the Social Worker at Trillium Health and she directed us to Doreen Schwartze at Constitution Place. I met Doreen on September 2021 she changed our lives that day. Doreen was compationate, she listened, she was professional, organized and told us she was hands-on and had an open door policy. October 2021 we moved our Mom into her new home Doreen and Adrienne greeted us at the front door. Mom was very nervous. Doreen escorted Mom to her suite put her arms around her and welcomed her to her new home. My Mom took an immediate liking to Adrienne. She help my Mom get involved with all social activities, physiotherapy and all that was happening at the residence. She always takes the time to check with her to see how she is doing and if she needs anything. The pandemic hit. Lockdowns, quarantines etc. Doreen immediately notified the families about the procedures Constitution Place was putting into effect to protect the residents. Both Doreen and Adrienne checked in  on Mom when she was not well and throughout the Covid lockdown. All I can say is "amazing". Doreen, Adrienne and the whole team at Constitution Place have lit the light in Mom's heart again and our family is truly grateful to this wonderful team and facility. Again we are truly grateful.
