So I came to these guys to fix my laptop. As someone with computer repair knowledge (computer science major) but just didn't have the time to order a new motherboard and diagnose any other issues with the laptop i brought it to these guys expecting them to be able to fix it. So when i brought the laptop in i told them the issue most likely was the motherboard overheating. They then charged me a diagnosis fee and then a repair free. They said they unplugged the led on the laptop and it started to work and charged me for that. Skeptical that that was the actual issue i brought the pc back home and tried to boot it. It worked for a total of 5 min and then shut of again. Most likely to overheating. So i call them back and tell them that the issue wasn't fixed and i kind of had to tell them that i wasn't going to pay for them to look at it unless it was fixed and i would pay for any parts that needed to be purchased and gave it back to them. They then held onto the laptop for months saying they were unable to find the motherboard and a whole bunch of other excuses. After them having the laptop for about 5 months i came back to pick it up cause they clearly had no idea what they were doing. They then charged me again cause they said they wouldn't give the laptop back unless i paid a base fee. So just to get the nightmare over with i paid it and never went back. Anyways this was about a year or 2 ago and i finally got around to fixing the laptop myself, i was pretty easily able to obtain a motherboard compatible with the laptop and what do you know the issue was fixed. I'm writing this review now cause i can actually confirm that they didn't fix an issue that was relatively easy to fix for most computer techs and ontop of that wasted my time and effort. This is the first review in my life i have ever wrote for any business but the experience was so poor that unless you are going to these guys with a simple issue i wouldn't trust it.

They were able to fix a corrupted Windows and busted hard drive, and installed a new SSD for me all for a reasonable price. Make sure you accurately describe the problems you're facing and they'll be able to help you.

PCNix fixed my non-functioning laptop, including repairing a non-functional usb port, installing firmware for the trackpad and replacing broken hinges. They went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you May, Tony, Ralph and the PCNix team!

Beware! They charged me a diagnostic fee and then called me two days later to try and add on a bullshir $100 'cleaning fee' They didn't fix anything and wasted my time. They will just scam you with diagnostic charges. DO NOT PATRONIZE this terrible business.

These people are liars. I paid about $190.00 for nothing. My lap top came back exactly same with the locked screen. They only opened it and cleaned dust. And told me it's running well. When I argued how they knew it ran well without unlocking the screen and getting into the system, the answer was "we don't need to get into the system to know the machine runs". OMG...they even were not able to get into the system at all and had the lap top with locked screen for whole 3 days. Who wants to know a computer is working by opening up. They just deceived me. They don't want to refund and do anything for this.

Very knowledgeable techs ( Ralph and Tony) who helped me retrieve my old photos from my dead hard drive. I had a marvellous experience with PcNix. Highly recommend!

I had a Shuttle computer that shut down, with black screen on boot. I brought it to PCNix shop that quickly made a diagnosis (48h). Because the build was a bit old, it was impossible to find another motherboard with the same chipset. They suggested me a new build, and I decided to pick my own parts. They agree to assembly the new build with the new parts and some of the old ones (like hard drives and graphic card) in an efficient manner. Ralph & May have been super kind, keeping me informed of what was happening and the best options I had at each steps of the way. The price for this intervention was fair. I couldn't have expect a better service and delivery, so big thank you and I would definitely recommend them in the future!

Thank you! PCNix Support and Service Team for your excellent work in reviewing my original request and then helping me with replacing my old laptop screen that had problems with the displayed image. Having worked with the laptop now for the past few days, I have had no issues with it.
