Paul is hands down amazing! He’s so skilled his ability to capture your big day. He’s such a fun, friendly, down to earth person, which made us feel so comfortable and jovial during our elopement atop the alpine of Rainbow Mountain. We cried happy tears when we watched his teaser video! The way he captured our day was so beautiful and epic combined, getting shots of us in front of the cascading mountains and our bright red helicopter. Here is a story of Love in the Time of COVID... and how Paul Cameron Productions helped keep it alive. Winding back the clock, to what feels like eras past, March 28th 2020, my fiancé and I were set to marry at the Vancouver Aquarium in a grand ceremony with over a 150 people in attendance; bookending eight months of prior scouting, planning, and finalizing venues, floorplans, decorations, caterers, entertainment, lodging, transportation, and minute-by-minute proceedings. Lights, camera, action -- we were good to go -- all done but the crying (that came later). Meanwhile, COVID-19 was spreading across the globe, and spreading even faster was sheer and utter mass confusion. "Pandemic" -- isn't that a co-operative board game? This is just another flu right? Droplets? UV light? N95? R0? Masks? No masks? "No mas." While obvious in hindsight, at the time, it was not clear if we could safely carry on with the ceremony... let alone if we would be permitted to carry on by public health officials... let alone if the population at large could avoid descending into dystopia, waging war over toilet paper -- Mad Max: Charmin Ultrasoft Road. On March 12th, 2020 we made the difficult but prescient call to cancel immediately. Optimistically, we were hoping for a moderate delay, maybe later that summer. Surely by autumn. That ship sailed. And several more thereafter. Fast forward one year later, with no clear end of the pandemic in sight, but unwavering determination to get married, we decided to hold a virtual wedding on March 28th, 2021 -- the anniversary of our canceled big day. By virtue of virtual, we had no guests physically present: just the bride, groom, officiant, and our dog. As well as two required witnesses, one of them being our photographer, and the other one, who was absolutely critical for this kind of ceremony, our videographer, Paul Cameron himself of Paul Cameron Productions. Paul masterfully made it possible for all our wedding guests to experience our ceremony live, digitally via YouTube, while staying physically safe in their homes around the globe. The livestream was a professional-looking, multi-camera angle production that artfully cut between wide-angle, medium, and close-up shots, audio-synched with crisp sound, giving all our guests virtual, front row seats at our ceremony: they could see every expression, hear every word, and feel every moment, from the comfort of their own home. Afterwards, we received abounding compliments from our guests that, virtual or not, our ceremony was the most touching and intimate ceremony they had ever witnessed. The event wasn't without its hardships: the ceremony almost didn't happen as the wind was so fierce that day, that, shortly before showtime, the power went out at our wedding venue. Blackout. No power, no Wi-fi. No Wi-fi, no internet. No internet, no livestream. That would have been a disaster, but Paul came prepared: He packed with him a backup, mobile internet rig. Upon uncovering that Wi-fi was out Paul hooked up antennas and cables to his array of devices, and uplinked them with mobile internet to recover the livestream. Disaster averted. And now, we're married. A month later, after working his magic in the editing room, Paul sent us a polished rendition of our ceremony, in 4K high resolution, cut with music, and bookended with cinematic footage portraying our story for the day, starting with our "first look" at Stanley Park, and ending with an absolutely epic sunset at Spanish Banks, capturing us standing before trees dancing in the wind and waves crashing by the shore. It looks absolutely surreal. We are overjoyed to have our big day enshrined in crystal clear video, to cherish for all time. COVID-19, killed our Plan A. Paul Cameron Productions brought our Plan B to life. In many ways, our Plan B is more lively than our Plan A ever could have been.

We hired Paul to livestream our wedding and he was amazing throughout the whole process. So friendly and prompt. On the day he chased after us as we were exiting after our ceremony to make sure we addressed our virtual guests, something we completely forgot to consider! And we got so many comments from people watching that they loved hearing from us. Thank you so much, Paul!

Paul, who worked closely with Tara and Steve at Whistler Elopements, captured the most joyous times of our elopement and we are deeply grateful that we get to share these moments with our friends and family. Paul and Hillary were part of our wedding on May 14, 2022 and I highly recommend them! We have already received two high quality and beautiful videos. I don’t even know how many times I’ve watched them, they’re so good! It’s such a wonderful keepsake to have, especially because the day went so fast. Now we can watch our ceremony and other videos whenever we want. Paul was so kind and so much fun. They made us feel super relaxed and natural! There was no awkward posing or anything, and I think that really showed in our videos! All of our guests raved about them too and have commented on how stunning our teaser video is. We can’t wait for our last video and I know it will be as amazing as the other two we have already received! I’m so happy we trusted in Paul and Hillary for our day. They had so much knowledge on Whistler too, which was so helpful when picking locations for before the ceremony. It was so fun hanging out with them for the day. Thank you both so much!!

Paul was fantastic to work with. We ordered a highlight reel and added on the full ceremony video and were glad that we did - the finished product is superb. His presence on the big day at Brew Creek was 100% professional and he worked in perfect sync with Logan (our photographer). Much like our experience with Logan and other vendors, we greatly appreciated his flexibility and creativity when push came to shove!

Paul was absolutely amazing to work with during our mountaintop elopement - and the products delivered have been timely and second to none! Working with Paul leading up to and during our wedding was exceptionally easy, and his upbeat, ready to go personality was really a hit with all who were able to attend. Though my husband and I hadn’t really thought too far ahead with our expectations, Paul was great and it was truly a refreshing experience on our big day.
