Overall the service was better than the experience. Ordered the salmon dish and I had to send it back to the kitchen twice. Once because it had a piece of hair and the second time because it was way undercooked. Server was accommodating though.

It was a lovely place; making a reservation was a good idea because it is quite busy, trendspot. Good service, beautiful decor, and amazing crepe! And my cappuccino was yummy plua the free delicious croissant! The savoury ham and egg crepes were buttery and creamy with quality ham and a perfect green salad. We were quite disappointed with the two tarts we chose from the bakery, we expected a lot better for the hype. I would definitely go back for the coffee and crepes, the baked goods...not so much. Overall,a must visit!

The decor is nice, but unfortunately not enough servers for dine out. The poor servers seem really tired. Some consistency issues with food quality and taste. For instance my gratin was lukewarm and seemed it was left out for a while. The fries that came along one of our steaks was refried to the point it was greasy and when you tried to pick it up with a fork they'd hop of the plate or break in half then shoot across the table. My steak was really nice whereas the other steak had a lot of sinew in it. Good part about the desserts and drinks is the use of fresh fruit and they weren't overly sweet.

Paul was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was a fun experience, but I found my initial introduction a bit offputting. The hostess could've been more welcoming. But our server was lovely and so friendly and genuine. The food was really yummy, my friends liked espresso martinis. I wish I'd had a pastry! Good idea to reserve. We didn't appreciate that we booked when happy hour was offered and they didn't warn us and stopped offering happy hour two days before our visit. We still had a good time but there could've been better communication!

Good that it's snowing and there was no queue. This place was normally crowded on regular days, just wondering then. Anyhow, the ambiance inside is relaxing with 1 section for Cafe and another for restaurant. The interior French design is a plus. It is clean with available washroom. The only drawback is parking issue. If you are lucky, just avail curbside parking along Robson Street. There are more parking lots farther, though.

We came for dine out Vancouver and got the eggplant lasagna and calamari appetizers, salmon and gnocchi entrees, and berry puff pastry tart and chocolate cake with sorbet. We also got the Paul smoothie with strawberry and kiwi which was very good. There was hair in the salmon so they replaced the dish. The second salmon came out and it was sous vide so the texture felt like undercooked fish. By this time we didn’t want another one. They took it away. Taste wise everything was delicious but the chocolate cake was bit drier. The servers were pleasant and patient but I would try again when it’s not on dine out to give it another chance because I heard great reviews prior.

This place is AWESOME!!!! First time visiting Paul Cafe and I was simply amazed by the ambiance, coffee, and pastries here! The service was outstanding and the presentation of coffee and pastries were beyond what I imagined!!! Very modern decoration and loved their giant TV on the wall! The coffee and tea were super tasty and all the pastries I tried were delicious! I can’t wait to come back for more and try their food dishes! Perfect spot for dates, studying, family gatherings or probably any occasion! This place deserves nothing less than 5 stars and I will visit here every time I am in Vancouver and I recommend you to do the same!!!

Great service and friendly staff. The ambiance is also very lovely. I would try to have lunch here one day. The space is open and very bright. I ordered an almond milk latte and maybe it was the beans they used but I found the flavor overly bitter. My colleague had regular drip and also had a similar opinion that the flavour was on the bitter side. Although I didn't try them today. The pastries looked delicious.
