m	mira faour on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I needed to give a review on my favourite pastry shop in Ottawa! Le Caramel is by far the best dessert shop I have been to. This family-owned business always prepares the freshest desserts everyday. Their hospitality, generosity and delicious sweets have me and my family coming from Kanata to Orleans every week! Their baklava melts in your mouth and the eclairs are amazing. Every item on their menu is an experience that will satisfy every sweet tooth! I highly recommend Le Caramel for your next dessert adventure!

I liked that the baklava was not lathered in syrup. 3 Stars because the interaction with the worker was extremely awkward. I walked in with my partner. I saw the worker come out from the back so I proceeded to say “hi how are you doing today?” No response. He then asked me what I wanted with a blank stare and I responded saying I was going to get pastries. He kept a very straight face and tone the entire interaction. His speech was extremely short and not welcoming whatsoever. He seemed to be annoyed that he had to service us. We were the only two customers in the store so I don’t understand why the interaction was like this? I’m a huge fan of Lebanese pastries and came across this bakery while I was on the east end but due to this interaction, I’d be hesitant on going back. A smile goes a looonnng way.

Pastries were beautifully made but I had no idea what pastries/flavors I was purchasing since there were no signs indicating flavors and the worker simply "didn't know".

I highly recommend any of their pastries, specifically with Ashta and Italian Custard, so fresh, light and delicious! It's all in the details, their packaging for assorted desserts is so beautifully done..it feels like you've received it from a Parisian 5-Star Pastry Chef! Their chocolate eclairs stuffed with whipped custard is my favorite!

N	Natasha A on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really kind owners! Don't believe the other reviews, it's the language barrier that causes confusion but they genuinely do try their best to accommodate. You have to understand that this is a family run business & they deal with everything themselves. I came all the way from Montreal to get a cake. I had called them yesterday & also messaged them multiple times on different platforms to get a pistachio cake that I used to get when I was a child. They completed my cake on time and called me when it was ready. Great service! I also wanted authentic Lebanese pastries too and really did enjoy them because they were not too sweet. They were very sweet people. I thoroughly enjoyed it & will definitely recommend. It's a very small space and doesn't seem to carry much, but their cake really did bring me back down memory lane. Thank you for your kindness and your sweet treats!
