It’s appalling that this agency continues to block British Columbian communities, from access to ride sharing.

Bring ride-sharing to the rest of BC. It’s 2021 and you can’t be anti-competitive forever.

Bring ridesharing to all of British Columbia. Taxi cartels have continually failed to provide a decent transportation service.

The passenger transportation board is a great example of the out-of-touch, bloated BC administration. It took them 16 months to come to the obviously wrong decision about public transport needs in the interior.

Taxis are the 8 track tapes of the passenger transportation world. You embarrass Victoria with your denial of Uber. The transportation options on Vancouver Island are antiquated; the ferry and airport - 1950s era options! Step aside! Retire! Foist your yesteryear banality elsewhere.

Clearly not in touch with the needs of the 21st century and apparently a shill for "big taxi". Why won't you listen to your constituents and allow ride sharing? If I could award no stars, I would.

Stop blocking Uber from Vic. You are not doing right by the people. Only helping out the taxi drivers pockets. They are years behind taxi companies in cities with Uber. Why? Because competition

Clearly they are not interested in what people want, but instead are trying to keep a dying industry alive. They have said that Taxis saw a 66.4% drop in usage between May 2019 and 2020, while ride hailing trips "rose rapidly". Rather than allow more expansion into area's, they are blocking it because it leads to a "significant loss of market share on the part of taxis". So the public is voting with their wallet, clearly showing that they prefer the competition, however the PTB is choosing the block ride hailing in order to protect the taxi industry. If the Taxi industry was really concerned, they would invest in their business and adapt, they would update their fleet, develop apps that are easy to use and actually work, allow for payment through their apps. Instead, they do as little as possible, because they get protection from the Government when they are a for profit business. Let the competition in, competition is better for the consumer, it's why we have anti trust laws. If the taxi industry refuses to adapt and update their business model to the shift in consumer demands, then they should be allowed to fail like any other for profit business. Listen to the people, support the interest of the consumer, not your lobbyist.
