This company uses their employees. This company trying to sell ideas to their employees and not providing a real job. This company act professional but pay cheep. This company are offering a customer service jobs with security licenses to their client. Your paycheque will end up $11.14 per hour after all the deduction. If you don’t have a value toward yourself go sell yourself to this company.

Paragon is very unprofessional with horrible business practice. For various reasons, we need to change service provider. Paragon's senior management removed all the well trained guards from our site upon receipt of the termination notice, which is unbelievable. As director at different sites and worked with various service providers, this has never been seen before. Unbelievable and never again

Colleagues are nice but the corporate structure leaves something to be desired. Good while it lasted, but not a good place for a long career. Ended up leaving for job elsewhere with a pension

I used to work for this company. To be honest I got removed from two sites and looking back, I was young and dumb and I deserved it. My client Manager Antony Shuster gave me one last chance and I became site supervisor at the next placement. I felt like I matured and to this day, I appreciate Paragon and especially Antony Shuster for not giving up on me. I hope he reads this. I now work in condominium management.

After many years of pondering, I have decided to write this review in the hopes that any new hire can learn from my experience with Paragon. This is my honest review of them when I began working for them for 6 months in 2016: The good (the only reason I gave the two stars): the 40 hour basic training to get my security license was good. The trainers were very good at their craft and I enjoyed the streamlined experience. The recruiter and office staff were polite and welcoming. I felt that it was going to be a good working culture entering my first security gig. Unfortunately, I was proven otherwise once I got deployed. The bad: Site supervision was toxic. I worked out of a condominium in Markham, and the site supervisor, A. Luca, was a tyrant. I was constantly belittled, power tripped on and made to feel inferior to him. Instead of correcting and teaching you as a good supervisor would, he made constant personal attack remarks. I was made to do things beyond my scope of employment and standard operating procedures. Honestly, I was young and I did not know anything about the Employment Standards Act, workplace harassments laws and my overall rights based on the Ontario Human Rights Code. The worksite became poison. I was answering to a condo board that made you do things completely against your SOPs, and the site supervisor made it seem that if I did not play along I could get moved to a different, far away site. After a ceiling leak, one of the executives, L. Scolaro, threatened to reduce my wages to pay for the damage (this is illegal of course, and would have resulted them in getting a heavy fine by the Ministry of Labour). They tried to scare me into paying for it myself. He called me into the office to tell me "it is unprofessional of you to have contacted the union". It was funny that he said that, as what he wanted to do was illegal. The best thing I did was contact my union who made it clear to them to cease and desist the threats immediately. The only reason I stayed so long was that the site was close to home. I want any new hire reading this to please familiarize yourself with the above legislation and if your site is unionized, demand a copy of the agreement and get to understand your rights and employer obligations to you. "Paragoons" as they so fittingly call their sports teams, take advantage of people who are unaware of these things. I have met many good guards who left Paragon for similar reasons. I hope the company culture has changed for the better since then. This was my experience. Good luck.

ALL POTENTIAL CLIENTS MUST READ. Wow where do I start, the trainers are friendly but their teachings are completely useless and wont actually help you in the security field. The management will all seem very kind during your hiring process, but after they will disregard you and give you attitude if they want. They literally treat guards with disrespect abusing you with power. They arent upfront about things and are not good with being formal, this causes guards to be unmotivated for the company and not do their job correctly instead just focus on their pay. Clients this is not a security company you want to hire for your sites, they dont train and treat their guards well enough for them to be motivated in their positions. Neal from Team blue is a horrible scheduler, to management of Paragon please dont forget where you came from when you first started in security.

never contract paragon for condominium services. Or work for them. staff is immature just a bunch of kids who have no knowledge of business or customer service. Always judging tenants by their looks. upper management doesn't do a proper investigation if any internal matter occurs. superiors always try to find dings on employees to file a disciplinary report to make themselves look good. Lots of mistakes are made daily that property managers don't know about. if you are a potential client save your buck and find a smaller company that will treat you like gold. If you are a potential employee use paragon to build the experience then move to another company.

I ordered the uniform again after a year. I got the uniform today and it has a Very nice fitting. I am working for them since a year now. Nice experience. The scheduler is very nice to talk and friendly. Got to meet new people and explore different sites and now I feel like home. Working part-time with them is also nice and can’t wait for my next scheduled shift now. ?
