★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The guide canceled our kayaking tour in the last minute while stating that the wind is high. We were sitting in the office for half a hour before and came 3 hours earlier to check if the tour is about to happen and they said yes. Weather outside was clear blue sky and still is 30 minutes later. We felt that they could have updated us by phone or email that there is a chance to cancel or try to take us earlier. Very unprofessional and we are really dissapointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great time paddling the Ucluelet Inlet. Our group was small (only 2 of us) likely due to the wet weather. But what do you expect on the west coast in a rainforest? My wife was new to kayaking and our guide was very patient and helpful. During the 2.5hr paddle we saw black bears on the beach searching for food, otters in the kelp, and tons of underwater marine life - big starfish on the rocks and urchins everywhere. The equipment was good and safety seemed to be a big priority. We'd paddle here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ended up having a private tour for our group of 3 around the harbour of Ucluelet. Guide was very knowledgeable about the ecosystems, culture and history of the area. Also very respectful of the environment while educating us on the wildlife. Much appreciated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently had a great trip with Paddle West. When we showed up for our tour it was quite windy. Since we were experienced kayakers they gave us the option to go out in a double kayak (more stable) or come back another day if we would be more comfortable. We ended up going for it and it was so fun! The waves were quite high and the wind strong but it made it an adventure (albeit a wet one). The scenery is absolutely beautiful. We did the tofino tour out to Meres Island. Our guide Marianne was excellent. She was super friendly and knowledgable. She shared a lot about the history of the area and all about the animals. She was such a great guide when we got to the trails on Meres Island as well. We really enjoyed our time with her. She also made sure to check in regularly with us to make sure everyone was comfortable in the conditions and even stopped to take pictures of us which she airdropped to us at the end. I would highly recommend the trip. It was a super reasonable price as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great introduction to sea kayaking! We took the harbour tour with Janessa, Wich was about 2 hour on the water, half an hour on the dock. We never sea kayaked before, so we wanted a nice and easy tour, which it was. It was fun to explore the harbour and learn more about the history of the town. We didn't see any wildlife, except bald eagles. Janessa took a starfish out of the water for us to pet.
