I hired Ottawa's Best Cabinet refinishing to fix two stained cabinets and refresh all the kitchen cabinets for my home. The deal was that if the refresh of damage could be fixed and we get cabinets close to the rest then I only pay for that, else we do a refinish of all cabinets to make them look better. Andrew scheduled my appointment by adjusting his schedule as I was in a rush to do it and he arrived on time as promised. I really appreciated the accommodation of my needs. Once on site he started his work right away to address the issues with the badly stained cabinets. He was able to fix one of them but the second cabinet had a horizontal spot that would not go after all efforts. At this point he advised me right away that this is not fixable and a change of door was required. He also arranged a guy who can make a door for me. Since time was a constraint and he was going out of town, he left some stain for me, created a list of items I need after the door was made and where I can get all the materials required. He explained me all the steps I need to take to get that cabinet fixed. He was nice enough to finish two other doors that were slightly damaged. He did not charge me the agreed upon fee or even half the amount. He said as he could not finish the job, the work done was free. Overall, I am very satisfied with my hiring of Ottawa's Best Cabinet Refinishing and will definitely hire them again for another job. They are organized, professional, honest and nice to work with.

Amazing amazing customer service, we loved working with everyone!! The paint has chipped a tiny bit after only 1 week, I think that's probably just the reality of painting cabinets, which makes me realize that the cost was a bit high. When I hired Ottawa’s Best Cabinet Refinishing to refurbish the cabinetry in our kitchen and bathroom, I did so largely based upon the ubiquitous five-star reviews they have received over the past two years. The quality of work performed was sub-standard. I have since learned that this was due to a new employee who had gotten behind schedule and ended up rushing the job while covering up his mistakes and omissions. I was suddenly concerned that I had made a huge error, especially given that the property owner had already paid for the work. Having said that, I have always tried to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. So, I compiled a detailed ten-page analysis of the deficiencies related to the work performed and sent it to OBCR. I am pleased to say that the response I received was precisely what I would have hoped for in this particular circumstance. Kayla established a line of communication that she maintained throughout, providing me with updates and deadlines as required. She did so in an incredibly professional and sincere manner. I learned that, after receiving my report, the staff met to discuss the best option for addressing my concerns while simultaneously implementing new policies and procedures to ensure that such an incident never occurs in the future. The result of their meeting was to effectively admit full responsibility for this rare aberration and ask what was necessary to obtain my approval. I was impressed by this willingness to fall on their sword. Rather than take advantage of their open-ended offer, I made the decision to remove all of the doors and hardware myself. Then, Adam, their newest employee and recently designated Quality Control Officer, picked up the doors from my home the following Monday to be transported to their shop. I was told that the doors would be returned the following Friday morning but, in an effort to demonstrate their commitment to making my concerns a priority, they juggled schedules and pulled in some extra hands, managing to complete the task a day early. The doors were returned to me on Thursday morning, meticulously wrapped in layers of thin styrofoam, bubble-wrap, and heavy paper. What I saw when I unwrapped the contents was exactly what I had hoped for from the beginning. The doors were finished to perfection. My compliments especially to Adam who I know put in considerable effort to ensure that the finished product met with my particularly high standard. I am very pleased to say that the end result has exceeded my expectations. The cabinets in our kitchen and bathroom look fantastic. It is easy to choose a company with a pristine record, a solid five-star rating, and positive reviews. But, no one believes that everyone is perfect. Eventually, even the best company is going to have a project go off the rails. What I am more interested in knowing is what such a company will do to make things right when the job does not meet with your satisfaction. While the earlier part of my experience with OBCR was less than desirable, their response has established a level of trust and confidence in their ability to live up to their brand. For my part, if I should ever require any of the services that they provide, I will not hesitate to contact them immediately. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to refinish their cabinets.
