Kyle at Ottawa Home Exteriors was recommended by a friend and I would certainly recommend them for anyone who needs a new roof. I was completely satisfied from the first contact to completion of the roof install, he was professional and courteous. There were no surprises, the quote was accurate the, the roof install was professional and the cleanup was outstanding. They did a great job and took excellent care of the surrounding property and gardens while they worked. I would definitely recommend Kyle and Ottawa Home Exteriors.

The service and workmanship provided by Ottawa Home Exteriors in redoing my entire roof last summer was excellent. After the work was done the area was cleared of all debris and any traces of roof repair were removed. Without any commitment on my part, Kyle the owner, took the time to describe and provide samples of the materials that were going to be used, the work to be done as well as to answer all my questions. Before the work started there was a water leak due to a rain storm and Kyle came very quickly to provide a temporary fix. I would recommend him very highly for any roofing work.

From the first contact to follow up, they were all professional and courteous. They did a fantastic job and took excellent care of the surrounding property and gardens while they worked. When the job was complete, the only sign they had been there was a brand new roof - the cleanup was amazing. While I won't need a new roof for years to come, I will definitely turn to Kyle and his team when I do.

Kyle at Ottawa Home Exteriors installed our roof on our home for the previous owners. He provided a 10 year warranty on the workmanship. After purchasing our home we had multiple issues with ice damming, so we contacted Kyle and he advised that he does not offer roof clearing services and told us to contact another company to clear the roof. Early this year, we had a roofer clear our roof and he advised that the valley was installed upside down which is likely contributing to the constant issues we were having with the roof. We contacted Kyle and he said he would send someone out to look at the roof but he would charge us for the visit. We disagreed and had the other roofer prepare a report for Kyle; which Kyle agreed the valley was installed incorrectly and he would send someone to fix it in June when they opened back up. Kyle's email to us: "We can send a service person by, when we open back, and they can fix the taper of the valley so there will no longer be a deficiency." We should be back up and running hopefully at the beginning of June, so if you can wait until then we can schedule a day to come out for the fix. Mid-July I had not heard a word from Kyle, so reached out again asking when he was planning to come out to fix the roof. Kyle replied advising that he changed his mind and would not be coming out to fix the incorrectly installed valley; despite the fact he previously said he would. Kyle's email to us: "We will not be coming out to make any modification or repairs. Our warranty is to the homeowner, not the home, so the warranty is not valid as you are not a customer of ours. Secondly, we offer a rain driven leak warranty, so unfortunately it does not cover ice dams. As the roof does not leak in the plus temperatures / summer months, we are not liable. Thirdly, the warranty is null and void when another contractor shovels snow and breaks up ice off the roof, as it can cause underlying issues, as it is written in our contracts as well as our warranty and terms document." The warranty document left with us by the previous owner states: "Workmanship Warranty: Ottawa Home Exteriors will warranty the workmanship of the installation of the roofing system for 10 years" This warranty document was dated June 12, 2014. We have filed complaints with BBB and Consumer Protection regarding this matter. Buyer Beware: Ottawa Home Exteriors will not honour their warranty if you sell your home (or will come up with excuses why they shouldn't honour their warranty). We are now having to pay another roofer a couple hundred dollars to have this issue rectified. Don't advertise having a warranty as a selling point if you are not willing to fix your own workmanship mistakes. We understand that mistakes happen, especially when you're working in the hot sun on a roof all day; but the important thing about running a business is how you deal with these mistakes as they arise. This was dealt so inappropriately and unprofessionally.

I had my roof done by Ottawa Home exteriors - excellent job, professional team. I would definitely recommend the company to my friends and neighbors. I wanted to give an update. As I mentioned, I was happy with a roof installation, but I was disappointed when I called the owner in 2 years to come and check why there was a leak coming from around the post on the roof. He came and couldn’t find a reason. Instead he recommended to cover the whole post with metal sheet which would cost me a certain amount of money. I called another company from my neighbourhood. They inspected the roof for free and found that it just needed more sealing around the post. The company did it for me without charging money and the problem disappeared after that. The most upsetting was to hear from Ottawa Home Exteriors, when I called them afterwards, that my warranty was no longer in place because I hired another company. Upsetting experience.

Kyle and his team are absolutely my go-to when it comes to roof repairs and installs. They're always quick to respond and they provide a high quality service. I hate losing shingles, but I like calling these guys! Keep up the great work, Ottawa Home Exteriors!

Ottawa Home Exteriors gave us an excellent service. They installed the three sun tunnels in our house quickly and efficiently. The work was well done, and no leaks were found after two big rainfalls. The installation team was friendly and listened to our needs. In addition, we appreciated very much the follow-up made by Kyle, the company owner. Most importantly, the added light provided by the sun tunnels exceeded our expectations. We just love it! We would definitely recommend this company.

After searching on internet for a reliable and professional contractor to rectify our ongoing roof leak problems, my wife found this contractor on-line with some impressive reviews. We contacted Kyle from Ottawa Home Exteriors and explained our situation. We had experienced two winters in a row of extensive damages following roof leaks after having contracted locally in my hometown to redo our roof. Concerned that we were 60 miles away from Ottawa and that he would not come out in our area, Kyle accepted to come out with his team and have completed the repairs.
