S	Shannon T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The renovations really brightened this place up. It has a great indoor-outdoor space and a fun atmosphere. The food is pretty standard and service is friendly.
M	Mackenzie Lawrence on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to love Original Joe’s every time I visited Calgary. While I was in town this week I took a friend to the newly renovated location in Kensington. The service was good, however there were a few issues with my order, I am super patient as I used to be a server, but when there are three incidents I think it should be shared. Most issues were addressed and solved when asked, but the last one takes the cake. 1. First, I asked for mayo with my side of fries. What was brought out was not mayo. I then asked for spicy mayo, hoping it would actually be mayo and was brought out some sort of sour cream ranch. Finally after asking a third time and some clarifying questions, I was brought out the mayo I was looking for. 2. The meal was good, I then ordered the brownie for dessert, but I wanted it to-go. I was brought out the brownie, but no ice cream, it was explained to me that they didn’t send ice cream with take out orders. I then pointed out that it should come with the order if it’s listed, they eventually brought it out to me. 3. So far, all of these issues were solved, all good. However, once I arrived home with the brownie, I unpacked it and was putting it together with all of the sauces that came with it. It wasn’t until after I poured what I thought was chocolate sauce (because that’s what was supposed to come with it) on it, that I realized it was actually barbecue sauce. Thus ruining the brownie. Sadness all around. I’m hoping that they see this review and can make the necessary changes to ensure these mix ups can be avoided in the future.

Went here yesterday for the first time with a friend, walked in and no one said anything, so we sat ourselves which is fine. Waiter came and gave us menus, came back to remove the brunch menus cause they ran out of brunch I guess. We ordered our food I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun and mixed green salad, I also subed the cheese on the sandwich for avacado and said I can't eat dairy. The waitress chose not to mention the mixed greens had cheese after mentioning I can't have dairy so I just didn't eat it. Before we got our food a waiter tried to give us two burgers that weren't ours, then a plate of fries that wasn't ours either. Once we got our food it was pretty good, the bun was soggy and I had a feeling I should ask if it was actually gluten free because it looked like my friends bun and seemed like it wasnt a gluten free one. I'm pretty sure it was just a regular bun because I got really sick last night. It seemed like they forgot about us so we had to ask for our bill a few times. All the servers there seemed anxious and confused, so idk what's going on over there. Was pretty disappointed, probs won't go back here at all.

The environment is very welcoming & fun- I could go for a drink after work, or for a casual lunch & still fit in. The service was perfect- the waitresses were timely & personable. No bad things to say!

C	C. Ko on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drinks were awesome. Food was bland. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. It's crispy but not seasoned well. The pickles were too powerful that the sausage couldn't balance the sour taste, which ruin the entire burger. The best in the plate was the sweet potato fries. They were crispy, well season. They taste good with or without the dipping. I would recommend order them separately for snacks.
