Centrally located, Open Bay Lodge is nestled in a sheltered, well protected bay with a sandy shoreline on beautiful Lac des Mille Lacs, where walleye, northern, perch, and bass fishing is at its best.
All our cabins and RV sites are lakeside and overlook the tranquil setting of the Canadian wilderness. Come listen to the call of the loon or watch the moon reflect off the lake while you are relaxing after a great day of fishing.
Our cabins are fully winterized and we are open for ice fishing during the winter months.
We are approximately 145km/90mi. west of Thunder Bay, Ontario, 16km/10mi. south on Lac des Mille Lacs Road, off highway 17.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent the whole summer here on the waterfront with our trailer. Best view everyday! Met so many great and friendly people! Had friends and met new friends who stayed in the cabins which were so clean and cozy! The owners are awesome and with their 3 boys keep everything running smoothly! The washrooms and showers are always clean and comfortable! Fishing is amazing and so is this spot! Book now!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommended! The staff went above and beyond on one of the coldest weekends in January to make this an incredible first foray into ice fishing! The cabins were practical, warm, and snug (with super comfy beds!), the gear was great, and the frozen lake was gorgeous. But the true treasure of this place is Jen & Kevin! We will definitely be returning to this gem of a lodge :)
