β β β β β I have thick, curly hair and I am in the process of growing it out. Olivia did such a good job helping to cut in the desired shape I wanted, and helped make sure that everything was fine for when I continue on with the process of growing out my hair (Layers, split ends maintenance, fixing curl shape.) I was also very nervous while it had been quite some time since I have had a cut and she was able to make me feel like I was in safe hands. I suggest that if anyone has a similar situation or desired cut like mine to go here. You will not be disappointed with the results. :)

β β β β β Personally I found this place overpriced. I just went in for bangs trim and I usually do them on my own but I thought Iβd get them done professionally. When I came home and started styling my hair myself I noticed that when I asked her to have it flow into my long hair on one side the hair was long.. down below my ear and that same area same hair line on the opposite side was at the top of my ear. Additionally I can notice that thereβs a random little batch right in the middle thatβs longer than the rest and it goes on a tilt. The hair on the left side is above my eyebrow whereas towards the right it ends up below. $16 for thatβ¦not impressed. Going to end up having to cut it and fix it myself anyways.
EDIT: reply to your reply: my hair was cut straight when I came in and long enough that if it wasnβt straight you should have been able to straighten it. I can post pictures as proof as well as I have not yet made changes to my hair. Please donβt try to invalidate peoples experience and blame it on them when you did a poor job.

β β β β β I have been coming to Olivia on and off for years, and always find myself coming back just cause she is so amazing at her craft. Seriously you can just show her a picture of what you want and she can make it happen! She is also very nice and professional.

β β β β β I went to Olivia hair yesterday for the first time. They were kind, punctual and professional. She didn't hesitate to fulfill any requests. Pricing was very reasonable. I and My family are more than happy to see my hair after cutting there. Highly recommend!

β β β β β Itβs been a week since my Olivia haircut and style. Olivia is an experienced hairdresser and her husband is a gentle spirited man who quietly works behind the scenes to help with his wifeβs business. A hard working couple who have persevered and made a successful business on James Street North, opened in 1999 before it became the trendy Arts/Food scene it is now.
I have very thick hair and lots of it that Iβve been told that itβs difficult to cut. I finally decided to go to a Korean hairdresser and I am so happy I did. Olivia had a quick and thorough hair consultation with me and since my hair was quite dry from previous hair colouring, she suggested and I made the decision, to add a hair wash to help with the cut. (FYI, hair washing is extra @$8). She helped trim away the bulk of my hair without compromising the length. I have naturally wavy hair. My waves sits and dries nicely when dried naturally now because of the professional haircut by Olivia. Iβve had many compliments RE my hair this past week; how healthy and nice it looks. I highly recommend Olivia, she gives expertise advice on the health of your hair as well as how to style, and will be coming back for future cuts. κ°μ¬ ν΄μ?β€οΈ?
