In every other port of call we were happy to stand out on our balcony and watch the docking and leaving procedures, but here, even with the door sealed shut the decaying fish smell permeated not just our cabin but the whole hallway. Clearly the sea gulls are using the roof of the main terminal to gut, store and eat their fish and it is covered in rotting fish skeletons etc. Hopefully someone will think to clean it and then install something to discourage the birds. It rather ruined the Victoria experience for us as now I'll always associate the city with that smell. Awful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant security and good longshoremen made our delivery a nice experience. Always a treat maneuvering a highway tractor and 53 ft trailer out Dallas Road. Not much traffic as it was outside of tourist season and with covid it was almost dead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great place to walk out and experience the strait. Seals and otters are common sightings and occasionally sea lions come in close on the harbor side. During stormy weather it's an exhilarating gauntlet of massive waves and the views of Washington are generally spectacular.
