Love the divided park so that dogs who struggle with crowds can be safe and have fun. But with the early sunsets it REALLY needs a light fixture or two.

Good spot, lots of friendly and responsible dog owners. Site is just 2 fenced compounds. It could really benefit from some additional facilities.

Great! 2 areas one huge space for the more socialized dogs and a smaller area for the ones still learning there way! Highly recommended

So good to have this space for all the doggies to socialize and blow off some energy and just be dogs. Also good for their humans to chit chat . Huge fenced in area divided in to 2. Great addition for us Cold Lakers. They are suppose to gradually upgrade the area as well .

Great addition to our Cold Lake recreational center and schools. I like how their are two areas. So if you see a familiar dog that does or doesn't mix well with your own then you have an option. And the double gate entries are excellent as well. Often similar people and pets to see if you go at regular times. People are generally responsible to clean up after their pets but there are the occasional but bomb that was left. It would probably be a good ideal for the grounds people to use a tow behind type auto taker after a few days of dry weather to quickly and easily gather up the dried up "left behinds". There's always a few, it's a dog park so not a big deal if managed. People have been leaving water, feeding dish and some dog toys for all to use and that's great. We'll probably leave some of ours that our dogs don't use much there too. Maybe other dogs will enjoy. ?

I attend the dog park about 5 days a week, all the regulars really care about the park and do what they can to keep it clean. Unfortunately some patrons do not clean up after their pets at times, but the community helps pitch in and help out. Currently there is no running water so make sure you bring a bottle of water. It is segregated into two portions, it usually runs as unsocialozed dogs on the small side, and socialized dogs in the larger side. Some rules are: 1. Dogs must be on a leash until they enter the park 2. Owners must be able to control their dogs 3. At the sign of aggression, owners must intervene and seperate their dog from the rest 4. Dogs must be vaccinated 5. No female dogs in heat 6. The most important rule CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG You should be interacting with your dog at the park, this is so that you can monitor and engage with your dog this is the point of the park. Don't come in, and play on your phone while your dog walks around aimlessly, they won't have any fun. There is a very collaborative and friendly group of regulars that attend the park so expect to make some furry friends, and human friends. Make sure you pack a towel, a brush and something to wipe your dog's paws, it can get muddy in one section, grass clippings are common and your pet will get into whatever is laying around. The city provides poo bags but you should bring your own.
