Had my first experience with the folks , and they went above and beyond my expectations to help me get my boat in the water .

These guys are great, been using them for a couple of years now and they always give great service and explain everything they have done with great detail. totally recommend

Charges what he feels..if he don't like you you pay more! (He had to spend extra time on it ..pfft!)... quotes inaccurate.. hundreds of dollars later and still not fixed.. He skinned us for the last time!! Will not be returning!!

Great service on short notice. Was passing through Squamish on my way home to Pemberton and realized my brand new outboard needed a servicing. I was in and out within an hour. There is nowhere in British Columbia that you can get same day service on a boat. Thank you!

Worst experience ever. Took 28 days to get a appt. Had my boat for another 25 days. The mechanic Dwayne is all nice and friendly on the phone when u can finally get a hold of him. Most of the time you are dealing with there receptionist all she does is say Dwayne will call you hes out on another job right now this happened atleast 4 times. He's always on another job. What about me and my boat u haven't fixed one thing on it and my bills already upword of 600$ . finally i got fed up and kinda got loud on the phone to the receptionist and lone behold Dwayne finally calls back. I ask Dwayne whats going on he says I need another 700$ distributor after he just made me buy a starter, coil pack and plugs which is weird because the starter and spark were fine thats not even why I brought it there. I brought it there for a momentary interupt which is a simple fix. End of the day he says he's putting a lock on my boat and I can't come get it until the bill is payed. I shoulda known not to go to them when the one review one Google says " no help at all" but I went there anyways because it's the only boat mechanic in squamish. Moral of the story don't go to ocean west marine service is horrible and mechanic Dwayne just wants to pay his bills he doesn't care about our hard earned money. So now I'm back to where I started with a boat that don't work and 700$ outta pocket

I cannot say enough good about Dwayne and Andrea at Ocean Marine. I am a new boat owner. I had an unfortunate incident that resulted in flooding of my boat with seawater. I am a busy guy. I purchased my boat in Surrey and had no local contacts to help me deal with this very serious issue. I cold called Andrea the day after my boat was flooded. She recognized how serious this problem was and went about expediting the management of the problem. Dwayne is also extremely busy but worked with me to ameliorate the problem immediately and got my boat in for a full diagnostic within 24 hours of me contacting him. Amazing. Dwayne's assessment involved not only a thorough inspection and computer analysis but a sea trial with accompanied computer analysis. The #maintainingyourdream ethic of Ocean Marine was demonstrated to me full on. Thank you Ocean Marine, Dwayne and Andrea. I now know who to turn to and in whom to have total confidence. Tom

This has got to be the worst marine services business I have ever used. Owner Duane shows up to haul our boat out of the blind channel as we had hit a submerged steel piling and were taking on water. He has the worst towing straps I have ever seen for the job, nice truck and trailer to bad they cant buy a descent strap. The problem with the strap; its too short and not anchored to the winch rendering it useless and by the time he gets it working approximately an hour later it results in my 225 yamaha outbaord motor going under the water also the bunks on the trailer fold over and gouge the whole bottom of the boat. As a customer I get this is an emergency haul out but to be billed over $2700 for this job is absolutely absurd, considering the additional damage caused. I then have to pleed with Duane to drain the motor of water and not let it sit overnight with water. Anyone knows this has to be done in order to save the engine but this guy didn’t seem to care until I started to raise a big stink about it. Then the owner has the audacity to charge us $20 a day for storage fees and magically can't work on the boat til July. Basically holding us hostage, seems if this guy doesn’t like you he will charge you more or will refuse to-do the work while holding your boat hostage until the bill is paid. We decided not to have any work done on the boat by this company due to the toxic relationship. We hired a profession marine services group in North Vancouver. We were told by Andrea and Duane that we could get our boat on Friday June 5th and to bring our trailer and they would load it. We are then told they can't do it because we didn't email them back but we did verbally agreed over the phone. We then threatened legal action and now they won't touch the boat. We have to hire a moving company to pick up and move the boat, mean while they will still charge us storage fees again for their incompetence. Whats ironic is earlier on their receptionist slags on the company we hired to get our boat out of their compound. I seriously recommend staying away from this company unless you like paying copious amounts of money for poor service and incompetence. The owners should take some courses in customer service and business etiquette. Highly recommend steering away from this business
