★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Julio moved me last year. His guys ripped my matress cover (for my very expensive, heavy latex mattress). It would be $300 to replace the cover so I said it would be okay if he had it repaired. It has since re-ripped. His guys also broke one of my fans and he brought me a replacement fan that was used and a piece of garbage and broken. He also complained about the amount of stuff I had and said an estimate would have been better. I gave him extra money to help cover the time.
I thought I'd give him another chance last month. I insisted on an estimate first, but booked him for the move. He didn't show up for our scheduled estimate appointment so I texted him. We agreed to another day in the eve. He texted me that morning asking if he could meet me in a half hour. I reminded him that we were meeting in the eve as I was at an event all day.
That was the Sunday before my move. I still hadn't heard back from him by the Wednesday evening, which meant I had no estimate and assumed I had to find another mover. This was pretty anxiety-provoking.
My last text to him was letting him know how disappointed I was and that I'd found someone else. He had the nerve to text me that he had a truck and guys booked for the Friday. I mentioned all of the texts I'd sent with no reply, how not cool that was. He didn't bother apologizing or replying at all.
