One of the most delicious Indian restaurants I've encountered. The food was hot and fresh. We ordered take out and had enough for 2 meals. Excellent. Thank you

Warm and friendly staff serving deliciousness just steps from Greenwood subway station. In this photo is the lamb poutine.

The malai kofta we received was in red tomato gravy, possibly butter paneer/butter chicken gravy. With 4 tiny balls and lots of gravy. Definitely not malai kofta, as we’ve ordered from here before and it was completely different. Consistency is lacking in all food.

I ordered a Combination Feast and was completely blown away! The food was amazing and the price is very reasonable, could easily feed 2 people for $15. Not quite sure what the other reviews are on about.. the man at the cash was very friendly, the man over the phone was great about an allergy question, and the again the food was great and flavourful. Can’t say enough good things about this place! Will definitely be returning again.

UPDATE: What is worse than not caring about your customers is pretending to care. It was nice of the owner to reach out to me after I expressed my displeasure with the restaurant. i reached out to them as requested by the owner and was prepared to give them a 2nd chance. But they never got back to me in over a week. Original Review: They should not call themselves Indian restaurant. I feel angry that this the kind of food they are serving in the name of indian food. Food that looks indian but tastes like Nothing. We ordered an 1) eggplant bharta - it was all onion and tomato paste with very little eggplant 2) Kadhai Paneer- the very USP of this dish is whole spices. It was the same tomato and onion base as in the bharta 3) Goat Madras - so oily. Why does it need so much oil. Tasted like nothing. 4) veg biryani w/ paneer - who adds broccoli in indian biryani. Yes broccoli is healthy, yes it’s a green vegetable but it doesn’t belong in Biryani. Paneer was not marinated, it was bland and just added raw in the Biryani. They served it with Raita dip. That’s what it literally was dip. Raita is an important part of the biryani experience and all i got was a small condiment container with a huge box of biryani. We waited for 45 mins for this order and were told that it is taking so long since they dont cut corners with taste. We thought it would be worth the wait. The food was neither worth the wait, the money or the time spent eating it (we ate it coz we were so hungry waiting for the food). So disappointed, that a restaurant owned by a Punjabi can serve such poor food. Please train your cooks.

It was our first time ordering from Not Just Butter Chicken and I’m upset we didn’t do this earlier! Absolutely fantastic. We ordered the butter chicken (of course) and it was perfectly spiced and the portions are more than enough for two. All the other items we picked up were delish! Perfect for a quick pickup and ridiculously tasty. Such a great addition to the neighbourhood…you won’t be disappointed. We will be back!

I ordered from here despite reading some of the recent negative reviews. Absolutely disappointing. Paneer 65 (see photo) was exceedingly oily, dry, small portion for it's price and not tasty at all. Samosas tasted like goo and we're oily as well.

We've ordered takeout from here multiple times and its become our go-to spot on the Danforth for Indian cuisine. The name of the restaurant my be "Not Just Butter Chicken" but they have multiple styles of butter chicken and we try a new one every time we order, and every time is been a thrill to try. Like the name says, they have a great diverse menu, and everything we've tried has been really tasty. A fantastic new addition to the Danforth and we look forward to visiting again soon!
