Keith, at Northern Lite, who Apache Camping in Portland told me to call with a few problems with a 2020 Truck Camper I almost paid $50,000 for doesn't listen well. If he were a doctor his bedside manner would be considered gruff. He offered no sympathy , was disagreeable to talk with, and demonstrated no interest in helping me. If you have a problem with your Northern Lite unit don't expect help from him.

In 2004 I bought a 9.6 QB after carefully considering my needs and truck. I can't say enough about this camper. I absolutely love it. I honestly have over 100,000 miles traveling with it on my truck. It s been abused on four wheel drive trails smacking into trees along and driven on various freeways at 100mph. It's been to Burning Man several times as well. I live at 7000' elevation in Lake Tahoe, I've had over 6' of snow with a bottom layer of ice on this camper several times. I accidentally jack knifed it one time and cracked the fiberglass at the rear and had it repaired. This camper is so tough and reliable. My work has me traveling all over the west coast and I've crossed the country twice to rescue dogs from shelters. I switched the mattress out for a memory foam mattress, it's the most comfortable bed ever. I ordered my camper with dual pane windows, very glad to have those thermal windows when it's below zero in the Sierras. After spending 15 years with this camper I can only think of a couple changes I'd like to see. I got the basement series, I wish it had a roll out tray to access the contents. I really appreciate the 36 gallon fresh water tank and the 6 gallon water heater, but even with that much fresh water, it bothers me when I have to waste about a quart of water waiting for the hot water to arrive at the kitchen sink. The hot water comes very quickly in the bathroom. I wish they had a valve that could send the cold water coming from the hot side back into the fresh water tank while you wait for the hot water to arrive in the kitchen. I ordered my camper with the he additional ceiling vent over the kitchen. Living in Tahoe and dealing with all the snow, I wouldn't do that again. I also ordered mine without an a/c unit, very happy with that decision especially at freeway speeds. All and all, I am so happy with my purchase and would buy the same model again in a heartbeat. ??? I bought a Northern Lite camper 10.2 Special Edition brand new and thought by all the great reviews that this would be a great investment for my outdoor lifestyle. It turned out to be the worst thing I could ever do. The manufacturer doesn't seem to care about there product or lack of quality. I had the Heki skylight leak on it and at first they said no to repairing it, they then called to say that they would because they used the wrong sealant on it. They attempted to fixed it and in the process the cracked the fiberglass roof and tried to cover it up with sealant. They don't even repair it to the standard they set out for warranty repairs. The skylight continued to leak and even though I let them know it did no good. I finally had enough and removed the skylight and was shocked by the damage that they caused. I email them this time with pictures again and they just don't care. They refuse to put anything in writing / email. We were thinking of buying a new one but after such horrible or lack of service we would probably never buy there product again. I really don't know how they got a 5 star rating I guess they give it to themselves. I have decided to document the problems that I have had with this and the manufacturer and do a blog to show people what they are actually getting. I could write a book on the defects that this unit has had and if there were ever seconds this would be it . Buyer be ware.

I like the camper ,but some of the workmanship is poor . Wire connections coming apart. Doors not fitting. The real problem is with the components. This is 2017 camper with very low usage, one jack failed, the stereo failed and replaced but failed again. The vents rusting, door does not seal . The manufacturer left the protective cover on the heki skylite, it hardened and had to be scraped off ,several hours. I have done a lot of repairs and mods, now have a nice camper. I was very disappointed in the camper at first. There were more problems. I guess I just expect quality from a canaidian company.

On a recent trip to Southern Utah I took a picture of our truck and camper which I usually do. Looking at the picture I began thinking that I've had this same camper (1998 model) on a Chevy, Ford, Dodge and now another Dodge. I have upgraded the electronics and switched to LED lighting but everything else has worked since day 1. Pretty amazing; I hope they still make them as good as they used to!
